(Baoquangngai.vn) - The 4th Council for considering the award of the title of People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan in the field of intangible cultural heritage of the province (the Council) held a meeting to review 11 applications for the title of Meritorious Artisan.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council Tran Hoang Tuan chaired the meeting on the afternoon of May 6. Also attending the meeting were prestigious experts with in-depth knowledge of intangible cultural heritage.

The Council listened to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the standing agency of the Council - report on the results of the implementation of the plan to consider and award the title. Among the 11 dossiers proposed for the title of Meritorious Artisan, there was 1 dossier in the field of folk knowledge and 10 dossiers in the field of folk performing arts.

Concluding the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council Tran Hoang Tuan requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to receive comments from Council members and cultural experts. Actively support individuals to complete the dossier as soon as possible, send it to members of the Provincial Council for comments and votes to have a basis for implementing the next steps and send the dossier to the Ministerial Council on time, as required by regulations.
