The event was attended by Mr. Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Ms. Bożena Żelazowska, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland, Ms. Joanna Skoczek, Polish Ambassador to Vietnam, and many parliamentarians and senators.
Representatives from Vietnam included Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong, Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai, ambassadors, diplomatic representatives, artists and a large number of overseas Vietnamese in Poland.
The program is an important highlight in the series of activities of the Vietnam Culture - Tourism Week in Poland, bringing an emotional night of art, leaving an unforgettable impression in the hearts of the public of the two countries.
Bridge from the heart of Vietnam to the heart of Poland
Elaborately staged by artists from the Vietnam Music, Dance and Singing Theatre, each performance in the program is a rich slice of Vietnamese culture. The sounds of the monochord, T'rung, bamboo flute, tam thap luc... resounding in the auditorium seem to touch the hearts of the listeners.
From the gentle dance "Colors of the Ancient Capital" , the profound solo performance of the monochord " Homeland of the Three Regions" , to the modern combination of Xam singing art in "Four Seasons of Flowers" ..., a Vietnam that is both traditional and innovative appears vividly and attractively.
The Vietnamese-Polish cultural exchange is subtly expressed through bilingual musical performances. The Niech żyje bal concerto is played through traditional Vietnamese instruments.
The folk songs Szła dzieweczka and Czerwone Jagody performed by Vietnamese artists with sincere emotions, bring the rustic charm of Polish melodies into the breath of Vietnamese art.
Closing the program, the combination performance One Round Vietnam - Niech żyje bal became a convincing symbol for the message: Music is a language without borders.
The atmosphere at the Polski Theatre exploded with emotion. The Polish audience, our compatriots and members of the diplomatic corps burst into prolonged applause. Many familiar melodies were sung along with great emotion.
After each performance, the entire audience stood up and applauded. Music, in its own way, awakened the deepest values of human connection between two peoples who have shared both joys and hardships in their historical journey.
The art of building lasting friendships
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Ho An Phong emphasized: "The program is not only a special artistic gift from Vietnam to Polish friends, but also a symbol of strong friendship, bridging the gap between the two cultures."
He affirmed that over the past 75 years, the relationship between the two countries has always developed steadily on the foundation of trust and sharing. “The Vietnamese people will never forget the valuable assistance of Poland during the years of fighting for independence and in the process of national construction,” said the Deputy Minister.
“In the field of culture and art, Poland has provided much practical support to Vietnam, especially in training. Many generations of Vietnamese artists, musicians, painters and architects have studied at prestigious art training institutions in Poland. The professional values and artistic spirit they have absorbed from Poland’s scholarly, disciplined and creative culture have made an important contribution to the formation and development of Vietnam’s modern art today,” Deputy Minister Ho An Phong emphasized.
Architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski (Kazik) - who has been associated with the heritage of Hoi An, My Son, Hue is also mentioned as a touching symbol of friendship. From heritage to art, from people to tourism, Vietnam and Poland have together written new humane chapters in bilateral relations.
In his emotional speech, Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai shared: “75 years ago, when the first green shoots of Vietnam - Poland friendship began to blossom, perhaps few people could have imagined that, despite the changes in history, our two countries would still be as closely connected, full of trust and affection as they are today.”
According to Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai, the friendship between the two countries is a journey woven from deep memories, from high-level visits, sincere dialogues and thousands of Vietnamese students who have studied in Poland. They are living bridges between the two peoples.
Many schools, hospitals, factories and seaports built with Polish support in Vietnam still exist today, a living symbol of the unshakable friendship between our two countries,” the Ambassador affirmed.
Living bridges extend friendship
One of the most emotional moments of the event was the presence of a large Vietnamese community living and studying in Poland. Nearly 30,000 Vietnamese expatriates in Poland not only deeply integrate into the local social life, but also preserve and spread Vietnamese culture, becoming silent “ambassadors” to continue the increasingly strong friendship between the two countries.
In the context of Vietnam officially unilaterally exempting visas for Polish citizens from the beginning of 2025, along with the strong recovery of the tourism industry and cultural exchange, this event is considered a starting point for deeper cooperation in the future, especially in the fields of creativity, digital transformation, technology and culture.
On the night of June 23, the Polski Theater - which has preserved more than a century of Polish stage glory - truly became a space for connecting souls. "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Culture" is not only an art program, but also an invitation to join the same beat so that culture can bridge the gap, so that the past can shape the present and so that the future can continue to light up the journey of Vietnam - Poland friendship for a world of peace and sustainable development.
“Colors of Vietnamese culture” in Poland
Within the framework of the Vietnam Culture - Tourism Week in Poland in 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam organized the exhibition "Colors of Vietnamese Culture" , organized by the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts.
The exhibition introduces unique traditional handicraft products from famous craft villages such as Bat Trang pottery, Van Phuc silk, Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan weaving, Hanoi lacquerware... Each work is the crystallization of meticulousness, creativity and artistic spirit of Vietnamese craftsmen.
Not only imbued with aesthetic and identity values, the exhibition also made a strong impression with its spirit of sustainable creativity. Many products were made from recycled materials, demonstrating environmental awareness and social responsibility. The exhibition attracted special attention from Polish and international audiences, leaving many deep impressions, contributing to spreading the beauty of Vietnamese culture to friends around the world.
