Candidates taking the university and college entrance exams this year
On the evening of August 17th, the Admissions Council of the Vietnamese-German University announced the cut-off scores for admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2024.
Accordingly, the admission scores for the majors range from 18 to 22. The highest cutoff score is for Computer Science at 22 points. The two new majors, Intelligent Transportation Engineering and Process and Environmental Engineering (Sustainable Production Process Engineering), both have a cutoff score of 19.
The cut-off scores for each specific major are shown in the following table:
In addition to the above scores, successful candidates must also meet the English language entrance requirements. Specifically, they must have an international English certificate such as IELTS Academic with a score of 5.0 or higher, or an equivalent; or an average English score determined from the English score of the high school graduation exam and the average English score in grades 10, 11, and the first semester of grade 12 of high school, of 7.5 or higher. For the Construction Engineering and Management majors, candidates need a score of 7.0 or higher. Candidates who meet the combined score requirements but do not meet the English language requirement will take an English entrance exam organized by the university.
According to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training, after knowing the cutoff scores, successful candidates must confirm their enrollment online through the Ministry's general admissions system no later than 5 PM on August 27th. Simultaneously, candidates must go directly to universities to complete enrollment procedures according to the timelines set by each university. From August 28th, universities with remaining vacancies will announce supplementary admissions rounds.
