In the leading group of schools, the benchmark for artificial intelligence is a big challenge for most candidates as it is still at a high level. In addition, many schools have opened new majors in this field in the past year to meet market demand.

At Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the school accepted candidates with a standard score of 28.8 in 2023 and slightly decreased to 28.22 last year. Candidates who want to be admitted to this major need to have an average score of at least 9.41 points per subject.

The University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi maintains a stable level of competition with slightly fluctuating benchmark scores: 27 points (2022), 27.2 points (2023) and 27.12 points (2024). In particular, many schools will start opening AI majors from 2024, such as Ho Chi Minh City Open University with 20 points or Saigon University with 22.27 points. These are reasonable choices for candidates who score 7-8 points/subject.
