Admission requirements: Applicants must have graduated from high school. For teacher training programs, applicants must have achieved a "good" or higher rating in conduct/behavior in grades 10, 11, and 12; applicants with deformities, disabilities, or speech impediments (stuttering, lisping, etc.) will not be considered.
For the admission method using high school graduation exam results: Candidates using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam to register for admission to teacher training programs do not require a "good" academic performance rating for the entire 12th grade year (academic performance rated as excellent or higher). Candidates must not have received failing grades in the high school graduation exam. The minimum scores for application acceptance are as follows:

Admission based on the results of the independent entrance exam of Hanoi Pedagogical University 2: For majors in the teacher training group, the requirement is a good academic performance rating for the entire 12th grade year (academic performance rating from excellent or higher) or a high school graduation exam score of 8.0 or higher. Candidates who are level 1 athletes, masters, or athletes who have won medals at the Phu Dong Sports Festival, national and international youth competitions, and whose aptitude test scores organized by the training institution are excellent (9.0 or higher on a 10.0 scale) are not subject to the entrance threshold when applying for the Sports Management major. The minimum score for application submission is as follows:

The subject of Economic and Legal Education (GDKT&PL) will be replaced with Civic Education for candidates who graduated in 2024 or earlier.
Admission scores are ranked from highest to lowest until all available slots for the chosen major are filled. Admission scores are rounded to two decimal places. If multiple candidates have the same admission score, a secondary criterion will be used, based on the order of preferences from highest to lowest (preference 1 being the highest).
Candidates can register online at: http://thisinh.hpu2.edu.vn; they need to fill in all the information on the school's admissions system from 9:00 AM on September 12th to 5:00 PM on September 19th.
The school will review applications and announce results to candidates before September 26th. Successful candidates will enroll on September 30th.
From the 2021-2022 academic year, teacher training students will receive financial support for tuition fees and living expenses according to Government Decree No. 116/2020/ND-CP dated September 25, 2020. Accordingly, students studying teacher training majors will receive state support for tuition fees equivalent to the university's fee and a monthly living expense allowance of 3.63 million VND. In addition, on average, Hanoi University of Education 2 allocates 7-8 billion VND per academic year as a scholarship fund for students.
