On December 13th, at the Bac Ninh Temple of Literature (Vo Cuong Ward), the Bac Ninh Department of Education and Training held a send-off ceremony for the teams participating in the National High School Excellent Student Selection Examination for the 2025-2026 school year. Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, attended and encouraged the teams.
At the ceremony, delegates, along with teachers and students from the participating teams, respectfully offered incense and flowers to Confucius, the Four Disciples, the ancient sages and virtuous figures, and the great scholars of Kinh Bac at the Bac Ninh Temple of Literature. They pledged to diligently train, develop their intellect, strive for high achievements, and pass the upcoming National High School Excellent Student Selection Examination in the 2025-2026 academic year, continuing to glorify and extend the cultural and scholarly traditions of the Kinh Bac region.
The National High School Excellent Student Selection Examination for the 2025-2026 academic year will take place on December 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2025. Bac Ninh province has a total of 237 candidates from 3 schools: Bac Ninh Specialized High School, Bac Giang Specialized High School, and Son Dong No. 1 High School, participating in 12 teams covering the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, Informatics, English, Japanese, Chinese, and French.
To prepare effectively for the exam, the Department of Education and Training developed a specific plan for nurturing gifted students with new and special solutions. This included assigning specific tasks to teachers responsible for and teaching the teams; creating opportunities for the teams to study and review in other provinces and cities; and inviting experts to conduct training on various topics. Simultaneously, the teams underwent four mock exams.
Presenting calligraphy paintings and encouraging the students, Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi affirmed that Bac Ninh province is an ancient land, the center of the former Kinh Bac region, rich in historical, cultural, and revolutionary traditions; closely associated with the Red River civilization and many historical and cultural relics. Throughout history, Bac Ninh – a land of scholarly achievements with the saying "A basket of students, a sack of mandarins, a pile of scholars, a raft of doctors, a bag of laureates, a boat of top graduates" – has always been proud of many generations of outstanding individuals who have brought glory to their homeland, such as the first laureate Le Van Thinh, the two-country laureate Nguyen Dang Dao, and Doctor Than Nhan Trung... The 237 outstanding students selected for the national excellent student competition in the 2025-2026 school year are proof of their intelligence, perseverance, serious study spirit, and are the successors to this precious tradition of their homeland.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province also summarized and acknowledged the achievements of the Bac Ninh provincial Department of Education and Training in the National Excellent Student Selection Examination for the 2024-2025 school year, as well as the overall quality of education in the province. He affirmed that these proud achievements stemmed from the close leadership and guidance of the province; the dedication and responsibility of the teachers; and the care and support of the parents.
Sharing his appreciation for the teachers who have worked tirelessly and devoted all their heart, mind, and energy to their students; and for the students in the team who have undergone a long period of continuous effort and creativity in training and studying, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province hopes that from now until the exam, the students will maintain good health, a cheerful spirit, eat enough, get enough sleep, avoid excessive worry and stress, and not be complacent, focusing on achieving the best possible results in the exam.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province also requested the Department of Education and Training to continue to pay close attention to directing and creating the best conditions for students to participate in the exam, as well as ensuring the conditions for organizing the exam safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.
