The festival is an opportunity for Vietnamese and Lao students to meet and share experiences, thereby contributing to honoring, spreading, and deepening the friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
Speaking at the event, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam, Ms. Khamphao Ernthavanh, highly appreciated the significance of the cultural exchange activities between Lao and Vietnamese students. According to the Ambassador, the program has created conditions and opportunities for students from both countries to further strengthen their bonds, gain a deeper understanding of the beautiful cultural values of each nation, and learn about the long history of friendly relations, thereby further promoting and strengthening bilateral relations.

The Ambassador emphasized that, over the years, Vietnam has provided Laos with support in implementing its socio-economic development plans. In particular, Vietnam has assisted Laos in training human resources at all levels and in all sectors, from the pre-liberation period to the present day, with the scale and number steadily increasing. Currently, more than 10,000 Lao students and trainees are enrolled in short-term and long-term training programs in Vietnam, many of whom are studying at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
Also at the event, Mr. Nguyen Manh Dong, Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy, stated: Younger generations, especially students, need to better understand the history of Vietnam-Laos relations; and at the same time, have the responsibility to contribute to, nurture, and develop this special relationship in the future, worthy of the relationship described as "deeper than the Red River and the Mekong River."
The event contributed to helping Vietnamese and Lao students gain a deeper understanding of each country's culture and history, especially the history of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries from the past to the present. According to him, students from both countries will be the key players in building and nurturing the future of Vietnam-Lao relations in the coming time.

Representing the students of the Diplomatic Academy, Pham Anh Duc, a student from the 50th cohort of the Faculty of Communication and Foreign Culture, shared: "As someone who loves history, since my high school years, I have learned and heard stories about the special solidarity between the Party, State, and people of Vietnam and Laos."
The vivid stories and symbols of the selfless and sincere assistance that Vietnam and Laos have given each other, from the past to the present, have left a deep impression on me. Four years of studying at the Diplomatic Academy – a school with many Lao students – has provided opportunities for students to meet, talk, and interact with Lao students, thereby learning more about, understanding, and further appreciating the country, culture, and people of Laos.

The Vietnam-Laos Student Cultural Exchange Festival offers a vibrant and experiential atmosphere with a variety of activities, including: a photo exhibition titled "Colors of Vietnam-Laos Students," showcasing meaningful moments of friendship between students from both countries; performances of Vietnamese and Lao traditional arts and costumes; cultural experiences such as cuisine , handicrafts, and traditional games characteristic of both nations.
Through this event, the younger generations of Vietnam and Laos continue to cultivate pride and a sense of responsibility in preserving and promoting the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
