The schools with the most students entering the National Economics University in 2025 are all in Hanoi, including: Kim Lien High School, Viet Duc High School, and Phan Dinh Phung High School.
In 2025, approximately 8,000 new students will be enrolled in the National Economics University. Of these, approximately 80% will have international English certificates.
About 7,000 new students achieved IELTS 5.5 or higher. Of the 7,000 students above, 96% achieved IELTS 6.0 or higher and about 82% achieved IELTS 6.5 or higher.
The number of students with admission scores of 27 or higher this year accounts for 50%. In addition, there are 21 students with absolute admission scores of 30/30 and nearly 100 candidates with direct admission.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of Training Management Department, National Economics University said that the rate of new students achieving IELTS 6.5 this year is higher than last year.
“This helps students easily access the English learning materials system, thereby contributing to improving the quality of training. In addition, it helps the school more conveniently implement the Project "Developing English as the second language in the National Economics University", said Dr. Le Anh Duc.
Previously, the National Economics University announced the method of calculating admission scores for each admission method in 2025.
Accordingly, candidates with international English certificates have a distinct advantage when applying for admission to the school.
Firstly, the school adds 0.75 points to all candidates with international English certificates, regardless of their score. For example, candidates with IELTS 5.5 or 9.0 will receive the same 0.75 points.
At the same time, the school calculates the converted score to a 10-point scale for the English certificate. A minimum of 5.5 IELTS is counted as 8 points; 6.5 IELTS is counted as 9 points; from 7.5 IELTS or higher is counted as 10 points.
If candidates apply using the combination of graduation exam scores and IELTS, they will receive an additional 0.75 points and can use the points to convert to a certificate.
Similarly, if candidates consider combining their HSA, APT, TSA scores with their international English certificate, they will not only get an additional 0.75 points, but will also be able to use the certificate's converted score on a 10-point scale to add to their HSA and TSA scores with a score weight of 1/3.
With the double scoring method for candidates with IELTS, TOEFL iBT, TOIEC, candidates with international English certificates are at a great advantage.
One of the important reasons for this priority is that the results of this school's 3 consecutive years of survey show that candidates admitted by HAS + IELTS assessment scores have better academic results than candidates admitted by other methods.
