Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra was overcome with emotion at the handover ceremony of the duties as head of the Ministry of Home Affairs to new Minister Do Thanh Binh. She shared that at this moment, many memories from her more than 5 years working at the Ministry of Home Affairs came flooding back.
Recalling 5 years ago, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra also attended the handover ceremony, receiving the task from the previous Minister Le Vinh Tan after the appointment decision of the President was announced, on April 8, 2021.
Understanding the mindset of the new Minister taking on the task, in today's handover ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra affirmed that the contents to be transferred were also carefully and elaborately prepared for Minister Do Thanh Binh to smoothly receive.

From the bottom of his heart, the Deputy Prime Minister choked up as he spoke of his years working at the Ministry of Home Affairs as the most beautiful years of his life, filled with hardships and difficulties, as well as glory and pride. During this journey, the former Minister of Home Affairs was grateful for the special sharing from the Ministry's leadership, civil servants and public employees.
“Today, when I take on the new position of Deputy Prime Minister, I want to say that the first days working here were very difficult. However, those difficulties have given me and those who work alongside me more motivation, more confidence, more determination to overcome and successfully complete the political tasks assigned by the Party,” the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed.
In the 80-year tradition of construction and development, the new Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Home Affairs can be proud that its contributions in the past 5 years have been extremely important and of historical significance.

Those 5-year memories, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, will follow each person in the Interior Ministry throughout their lives with memorable happy and sad moments, glories and pride. Among them, the greatest pride for each person is to directly work and be at the center of the revolution to reorganize the state administration and the 2-level local government.
In modern history, the arrangement and organization of the apparatus is a huge revolution, changing all thoughts, thinking and actions. Through this great task, the Deputy Prime Minister realized that she and the officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs have matured a lot.
"We will never forget the moments of implementing the contents of the apparatus arrangement, never forget the sacred moment when merging the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs with the Ministry of Home Affairs. This place is full of deep, lingering, meaningful memories and these emotions will follow me throughout my life," the Deputy Prime Minister choked up.
From those memories, the Deputy Prime Minister wants to affirm that Interior workers are the happiest people. Interior workers are glorious people because they have contributed to the development of the country in historical moments and made a great revolution.

Speaking at the reception of the task, the new Minister of Home Affairs Do Thanh Binh shared that during his working process, he had gone through many handovers but this handover was special and different. He expressed his emotion and honor to receive the task of Minister of Home Affairs from Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra.
Looking back on the 5-year journey of the former Minister leading and directing the activities of the Ministry of Home Affairs in recent years, especially in the historical apparatus restructuring revolution in 2025, Minister Do Thanh Binh commented that the workload of the sector is extremely large. The Deputy Prime Minister has completed many very important tasks assigned, leaving many profound meanings and comprehensive changes for the country.
The new Minister recalled that at the end of last year, after receiving the Politburo's policy, the Ministry of Home Affairs advised the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly and the Government to issue many documents and policies to carry out the revolution in organizational apparatus. In building the 2-level local government model, the contribution of the previous Minister of Home Affairs, according to Minister Binh, was also particularly great.

“There were many hardships on that journey to bring about complete results, as comrade Tra shared today, in his position as Deputy Prime Minister,” the new Minister concluded.
Being approved by the National Assembly and appointed by the President to the position of Minister of Home Affairs at this time, according to the new Minister, is a great honor for him personally, and at the same time, a very heavy responsibility before the Party, the State and the people, especially in the context of the increasingly high requirements of the Ministry in the coming time. The workload is getting bigger and bigger while time is urgent.
