Comments on draft documents of the 14th Congress: Key to catching up with the general development momentum

The Party Secretary of Hua Bum commune, Lai Chau province, said that to achieve the development goals stated in the draft documents, it requires the consensus and efforts of the whole society.

Towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, the collection of opinions on draft documents to be submitted to the Congress is being widely deployed throughout the political system of Lai Chau province.

In Lai Chau province, cadres and party members have shown a sense of responsibility, contributed many enthusiastic opinions, focusing on guiding viewpoints and goals for rapid and sustainable national development, with a vision to 2045. These contributions not only demonstrate confidence but also spread the aspiration to develop a strong, prosperous and happy country.

According to the draft Political Report, the country's development goal in the new period is: "By 2030, becoming a developing country with modern industry and high average income; realizing the vision by 2045 of becoming a developed country with high income for a peaceful , independent, democratic, rich, prosperous, civilized, happy Vietnam, firmly moving towards socialism."

The draft Political Report also sets out five important guiding viewpoints, including: Strengthening the building and rectification of a clean and strong Party and political system in all aspects; solidarity and unity; smooth, synchronous and effective operation of the new apparatus of the political system; enhancing the role, leadership capacity, governance, fighting strength of the Party and the management, governance and development creation capacity of the State. Closely linking practical summarization and theoretical research with the building and implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws. Tightening the close relationship between the Party, the State and the People; promoting socialist democracy and the people's mastery; strengthening control of power, resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption, waste, negativity, "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party."

The above orientations have received the attention and comments of many cadres and party members in Lai Chau with a high sense of responsibility. Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Nhan, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, shared: Among the 5 guiding viewpoints, she is particularly interested in the content: "Strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system to be clean and strong in all aspects." In fact, this content has been and is being actively and effectively implemented, but besides that, it has also revealed limitations and shortcomings. Therefore, according to her, identifying this content in the guiding viewpoints of the draft Political Report is completely correct and appropriate.

Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Nhan said that through collecting opinions from party members participating in the draft Political Report to be presented to the 14th National Congress, it shows that party members in Lai Chau are particularly enthusiastic about the orientation of rapid and sustainable development, based on science, technology, innovation and promoting Vietnamese human resources. This is the key for mountainous provinces like Lai Chau to catch up with the general development momentum of the whole country.

Ms. Nhan also stated that the Resolution of the Lai Chau Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term has absorbed the Central's guiding viewpoints and development goals, in accordance with the specific conditions of the mountainous and border province. The Congress identified 3 breakthroughs, 4 key task groups, 5 guiding viewpoints and 6 solution groups. These are the major development orientations that the province needs to focus on in the 2025-2030 term, to join the whole country in entering a new era of development, an era of national growth.

Commenting on the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, Mr. Phan Van Coc, Party Secretary of Hua Bum Commune, Lai Chau Province, said that in order to achieve the development goals stated in the draft documents, it requires the consensus and efforts of the whole society. In particular, the role of setting an example by cadres and party members plays a particularly important role. He emphasized that in the current period, setting an example by cadres and party members needs to be done well more than ever, thereby strengthening people's trust in the leadership role of the Party.

Reality shows that cadres and party members who are truly honest, close to the people, and who practice what they preach will be trusted and respected by the people. Trust is restored and strengthened, creating a foundation to gather the strength of the entire people and the entire Party to overcome all difficulties and challenges. Cadres and party members who set an example do not only stop at setting an example in ethics and lifestyle, but must also extend to other aspects of leadership. The dynamism, creativity and will to excel of leaders will spread, creating a positive emulation movement, contributing to promoting the comprehensive and sustainable development of the country.

According to Mr. Phan Van Coc, the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress need to emphasize synchronous and drastic solutions so that each cadre and party member must be self-aware and responsible, setting an example in continuing to effectively implement the Central Committee's resolutions and conclusions on Party building and rectification and the political system, in conjunction with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.

In order for setting an example to become a part of the leadership method, the core role of the Party Committee, especially the leader, is extremely important. The Party Committee must be the core of leadership and direction, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, unity, and being exemplary in words and deeds. The leadership and direction capacity of the Party Committee must be measured by work efficiency, by the satisfaction and trust of the people. To do so, the Party Committee must be exemplary in strictly implementing the principles of organization and operation of the Party, especially the principle of democratic centralism.

As a young party member currently working at Lai Chau Provincial General Hospital, Mr. Vui The Manh, like many party members working here, is very happy with the innovation in the Party and is concerned with social security policies for the highlands.

Mr. Vui The Manh expressed his joy at seeing that the Party is increasingly listening to opinions from the grassroots. Through studying the draft documents submitted to the 14th Party Congress, he assessed that the viewpoints and goals on Party building and national development in the new period have been clearly and comprehensively defined. He hopes that the Party will continue to have strong policies to improve the lives of people in the highlands, pay more attention to the fields of education and health, and at the same time develop the border economy in association with preserving the national cultural identity.
