On the afternoon of October 28, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long led a working delegation to inspect the progress of the investment project to build the second facility of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital in Ninh Binh .
Also attending were Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, leaders of several central ministries and branches, leaders of Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Hospital and construction contractors.
After inspecting the actual construction progress of the items, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and the working delegation had a working session to discuss solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, and complete the project on schedule.
According to Deputy Minister of Health Le Duc Luan, the construction progress of items at Facility 2 of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital will basically be completed before November 30, 2025.
Currently, the Bach Mai Hospital Facility 2 Project is continuing to complete the following items: IPS cabinet system; hot water system; fire prevention and fighting system; low voltage system; complete connection of outdoor lighting system (grounding for traffic lights); irrigation and water supply system for auxiliary buildings; installation of equipment for auxiliary buildings...
The Project of Facility 2 of Viet Duc Hospital is continuing to construct plaster ceilings, aluminum ceilings, interior and exterior painting; complete operating rooms, install doors; install electrical and water equipment; complete basements; industrial cleaning; parking lot; construct rainwater and wastewater drainage systems, construct lighting systems, etc.
Bach Mai and Viet Duc Hospitals have implemented the direct procurement of a part of medical equipment and are expected to complete it before December 25; at the same time, they have implemented open bidding for other medical equipment and are expected to complete the installation, handover and put into use of all equipment before April 30, 2026.
At the meeting, representatives of the leaders of Viet Duc Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital reported on the work contents in the Operation Project of the 2 Hospitals; including urgently arranging human resources, completing information technology infrastructure to connect and unify operations between Facility 1 and Facility 2; purchasing medical supplies and equipment to serve Facility 2 when it comes into operation...
The leaders of the two hospitals made recommendations to the Government, the Ministry of Health, and central ministries and branches on a number of issues such as: completing the procurement of medical supplies and equipment; promptly approving a special financial mechanism for the hospital to recruit talented people to serve at Facility 2...
Recognizing and appreciating the efforts of the Ministry of Health, the Project Management Board, Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital and contractors to implement the Project on schedule, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long emphasized that the Government is determined and resolute in directing the Project to put the Facility 2 of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital into operation in 2025.
To put the second facility of the two hospitals into operation as planned, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long requested the Ministry of Health to coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to find specific solutions to remove obstacles in financial mechanisms, promptly pay for completed works to contractors, and pay attention to promoting the progress of monitoring the quality of works.
The Project Management Board needs to stick to the plan, focus human resources, time, intelligence, and determination to work side by side with contractors to implement the work.
Contractors need to arrange engineers and workers to speed up the progress of equipment packages, information technology infrastructure, and fire prevention and fighting to meet all requirements when putting the second facility of Bach Mai and Viet Duc Hospitals into operation, ensuring the people's medical examination and treatment needs./.
