According to the latest data from the i-Speed speed measurement platform (under the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center - VNNIC, Ministry of Science and Technology ), in September 2025, the average download speed of the fixed broadband network nationwide reached 272.44 Mbps and the upload speed reached 202.05 Mbps. This is the 7th consecutive month that the network quality has 'peaked' since the increase in March 2025.
In major cities, network quality in major cities such as Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho is generally stable, with only slight fluctuations. Hanoi continues to be the leading locality in terms of network speed with download speed reaching 337.01Mbps.

Viettel and VNPT continue to be the two network operators with the highest Internet speed, continuously setting speed records. Viettel's download speed in September 2025 reached 320.71 Mbps, upload 277.36 Mbps. VNPT also recorded download speed of 259.45 Mbps and upload 188.74 Mbps.

Other network operators maintained stable quality such as: FPT Telecom with upload and download speeds of 124.37 Mbps and 101.04 Mbps respectively; SCTV with 86.88 Mbps and 30.01 Mbps; NETNAM with 60.25 Mbps and 62.22 Mbps; CMC Telecom with 270.93 Mbps and 153.75 Mbps.
Statistics by Ookla, the unit behind the Speedtest tool, show that in August 2025, Vietnam's fixed internet network reached 261.8 Mbps, ranking 10th in the global rankings, far surpassing the 33rd ranking announced in March 2025.
This result is higher than many countries such as Switzerland, Denmark, China. In which Viettel leads with a speed of 272.9 Mbps (higher than the 8th country in the world, Iceland). Thus, Viettel's Internet speed has increased strongly by 58% since the beginning of 2025, contributing greatly to the growth of Vietnam's Internet ranking.
According to Ookla, Vietnam’s mobile broadband network ranked 16th in the global rankings. This is the first time Vietnam has both mobile and fixed networks in the top 20 global markets in terms of speed.
Also according to the Vietnam Internet Center, the average nationwide mobile broadband speed in September 2025 reached 83.48 Mbps for download and 28.05 Mbps for upload.

The network quality of VNPT, MobiFone and Vietnamobile improved compared to July 2025, while Viettel witnessed the highest mobile network speed in the past 12 months reaching 100.09 Mbps for download and 29.74 Mbps for upload.
Among major cities in Vietnam, Da Nang continues to be the leading locality in terms of mobile broadband network speed with a download speed of 203.69 Mbps, nearly twice as fast as the second place Can Tho city (download speed of 115.81 Mbps). Other cities such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Ho Chi Minh City still maintain the growth rate in mobile broadband network speed.

In September 2025, the quality of the 5G mobile broadband network nationwide recorded a slight decrease compared to the previous month with the average download speed reaching 361.62 Mbps and the average upload speed reaching 90.45 Mbps.
