Elevating the experience - Ready for a connected future

Not only launching GIGA, Viettel Telecom also supports replacing old WiFi devices with WiFi 6 - a new technology that helps increase speed, improve coverage and stability when multiple devices access at the same time. Viettel is also preparing to deploy WiFi 7 in 2026, ready for the era of unlimited connectivity.

Leading Infrastructure - Paving the Way for a Digital Society

Implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW on innovation and national digital transformation, Viettel has built a fiber optic network of more than half a million kilometers, covering 100% of villages nationwide, ready to provide high bandwidth packages for all needs from families, business households to enterprises in both urban and rural areas.

Viettel has also deployed the new generation XGSPON optical cable technology for symmetrical speeds of 10Gbps (fast upload and download), opening up a "data highway" for future applications such as IoT, smart cities, telemedicine and digital education .

Viettel currently operates five international submarine cable lines, ensuring about 65% of Vietnam's international connection capacity. By 2030, Viettel aims to participate in at least five new cable lines; of which, the Vietnam - Singapore line, wholly owned by Viettel, is expected to be put into operation in 2028.

Viettel's investment in international and domestic fiber optic cable systems is considered by Ookla - the unit behind the Speedtest tool - to be one of the reasons for the increase in fixed internet speed and bandwidth in Vietnam. Specifically, for the first time, Vietnam's fixed internet speed ranked 10th globally in August 2025, reaching 261.8 Mbps. This result almost caught up with Thailand (262.42 Mbps, ranked 9th) and was higher than many countries such as Switzerland, Denmark, and China. In which, Viettel led Vietnam with a speed of 272.9 Mbps (higher than the 8th ranked country in the world , Iceland).

With the GIGA package, Viettel continues to affirm its pioneering position in speed, quality and connection infrastructure, bringing super-fast internet to all Vietnamese people from urban to remote areas so that everyone can study, work, create and enjoy digital life.
