Viettel Telecom targets service revenue of VND115 trillion by 2030

On October 16 in Hanoi, Viettel Telecommunication Corporation (Viettel Telecom) held a ceremony to receive the First Class Labor Medal and celebrate the 25th anniversary of its tradition (October 15, 2000 - October 15, 2025).

This is a noble award from the Party, State, Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense in recognition of the contributions that generations of Viettel Telecom staff have strived for over the past 25 years.

Previously, Viettel Telecom received the title of Hero of Labor in the renovation period (December 2011), Third-class Labor Medal (May 2008), Second-class Labor Medal (2014, 2020) and many other noble awards.

Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of the Group, along with former leaders of the Group from different periods, Corporations, Companies and officers and employees of Viettel Telecom.

In 25 years of operation, Viettel Telecom has achieved cumulative revenue exceeding 1 quadrillion VND. The enterprise has continuously held the No. 1 position in mobile market share, fixed broadband, domestic OTT and customer loyalty programs.

At the same time, Viettel Telecom is also one of the largest corporate income tax payers in the country, contributing significantly to the national budget and is the cradle of new fields for Viettel Group Viettel Money, Viettel Solutions, Viettel Media...

With the philosophy of "Business associated with social responsibility," Viettel Telecom has implemented a series of programs with profound humanitarian meaning such as: "Heart for children" program; Free Internet for more than 39,500 schools and educational institutions, contributing to promoting digital education; "For studious children" program; "Breeding cows to help poor people in border areas" program.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Hoang Trung Thanh - General Director of Viettel Telecom, affirmed that the unit is ready to transform from a traditional telecommunications company to a world-class technology company (Techco), with the target of service revenue reaching 115 trillion VND by 2030.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of the Military Industry-Telecoms Group acknowledged Viettel Telecom's contributions not only in terms of revenue, building the Group's potential, expanding investment budget and promoting new industries, but also as a symbol of Viettel's culture and spirit, always shining in every challenge.

According to Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang, Viettel Telecom has determined that in the next 5 years, it must transform from a Telco to a global Techco. "The Group believes that the solutions and actions that Viettel Telecom has proposed are very clear and feasible, both ensuring the maintenance of core services and making breakthroughs to enter and dominate new services," Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang emphasized./.
