Taking place from November 27 to December 1, in Hanoi and Phu Tho, the 4th International Festival of New Music, Vietnam 2025, hosted by the Vietnam Musicians Association, has the participation of domestic art troupes, Vietnamese musicians and singers, and musicians and artists from the Russian Federation, Tatarstan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Adygea, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Japan, China, Australia, and Laos.

In his closing speech, Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, Chairman of the Festival Arts Council, emphasized that with 5 concert programs including nearly 100 works in the following genres: Symphony, concerto, choir, chamber music, romance for voice, Vietnamese traditional musical instrument ensemble..., the 4th International Festival of New Music, Vietnam 2025 has expressed the richness, diversity and vitality of contemporary music today. International musicians from Asia, Europe, Australia, America... have brought to the festival new works with high artistic quality and humanity - spreading - convincing to the public.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Do Hong Quan, through the 4th International Festival of New Music, we can see the growth of each country's professional music industry; the right development of Vietnamese music, from national to modern, taking the national soul to integrate with the world. The Festival also recognizes the maturity of the young generation of musicians, such as musicians from Vietnam, Japan, Kazakhstan, etc.
In his closing speech, musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association, said: “In the past few days, we have been immersed in new and rich artistic emotions in the musical space, where the colors and languages of Eastern and Western music meet. These are special artistic successes of the 4th International Festival of New Music, Vietnam 2025.”

According to musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, the success was thanks to the musical works of all international and Vietnamese musicians participating in the festival. Among them, there were new musical discoveries, such as the works of musicians Shotaro Matsunami (Japan), Alexander Radvilovich Mukhamejanov (Russia), Shcherbakov Vasily Fedorovich (Russia), Tolegen Mukhamejanov (Kazakhstan), Werner Heinrich Schmitt (Germany) or young Vietnamese musicians such as Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tu, Tran Luu Hoang, Nguyen Minh Trang... along with the performing talents of international and Vietnamese artists.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Musicians Association awarded certificates of participation and honored musicians and artists who contributed to the success of the festival.
In particular, on the closing night, the audience enjoyed a symphony concert by Vietnamese and international musicians, performed by the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, with Meritorious Artist Hoang Anh (bamboo flute), Meritorious Artist Le Giang (mono bau), artist Vu Dieu Thao (pipa), and German artist Werner Heinrich Schmitt (piano).

Many attractive performances such as “Colors” for pipa ensemble (Nguyen Duc Trinh - Vietnam); concerto “Thang Long” for bamboo flute and symphony orchestra (Nguyen Thieu Hoa - Vietnam); “Sunshine - Rain” for monochord and symphony orchestra (Nguyen Trong Dai - Vietnam); Marchizul “Hoai Van Hau - Tran Quoc Toan” for symphony orchestra (Nguyen Ngoc Tu - Vietnam); “Astana” for symphony orchestra (Tolegen Mukhamezhanov - Kazakhstan); “Zaratustra” chapter 4 for symphony orchestra (Azamat Khassanshin - Russia); “Heroic spirit of the delta” for symphony orchestra (Nguyen Phong Phu - Vietnam); “Eternal friendship” for symphony orchestra (Zhong Juncheng - China); “Overcoming the maze” for chamber orchestra (Andrián Pertout - Australia); Concerto No. 2 for piano and orchestra (Werner Heinrich Schmitt - Germany).
The program is a great musical work about friendship, about high artistry and towards national values - humanity - truth - goodness - beauty.
