(Baohatinh.vn) - Faced with increasingly serious flooding in the downstream area of Ke Go Lake, local authorities and functional forces in Ha Tinh have used boats to search each hamlet to help evacuate people to safety.

On November 1, in Cam Binh commune - one of the localities downstream of Ke Go lake, it was still raining heavily. Due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, Ke Go lake overflowed, many residential areas and traffic routes in Cam Binh commune were cut off by floodwater. Boats were the only means of transportation at this time in the commune downstream of Ke Go lake.
Faced with widespread flooding, Cam Binh commune has proactively checked and evacuated people from flooded and flood-prone areas to safe places. By early afternoon on November 1, Cam Binh commune had evacuated 150 households with about 500 people to avoid the impact of floods.
However, in the face of rapidly rising floodwaters, Cam Binh commune mobilized forces and vehicles to continue checking each hamlet to evacuate people to safety.
To promptly support people, local authorities have informed inter-family groups, security and order protection groups at the grassroots level, and the zalo group to connect peace. In case of evacuation, contact the commune authorities to grasp the situation and send human resources and vehicles to support.
As soon as they received information that people needed assistance, the authorities of Cam Binh commune used motorboats to quickly evacuate people to safety. Cam Binh Commune authorities have repeatedly received requests for assistance when floodwaters threaten to inundate homes. At such times, authorities quickly set out to assist the people.
Currently, Cam Binh commune is closely monitoring weather developments, updating the overflow flow of Ke Go lake, and deploying 100% of its military personnel to be ready to support people when needed. During the evacuation process, Cam Binh commune ensures that people do not lack food or clean water.
