First time announcing the list of expired .vn domain names released in real time

From December 1, 2025, Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC - Ministry of Science and Technology ) officially announced the list of expired .vn domain names that have been released to free status.

This is the first time this data has been opened in real-time, allowing all organizations and individuals to proactively monitor and re-register domain names that have just ended their life cycle, are still valuable and have potential for use (referred to as reborn domain names).

This is an important step forward in the management of national Internet resources, helping to improve the efficiency of re-exploitation, limit waste, and reduce speculative risks.

According to VNNIC, about 500 .vn domain names are canceled every day, becoming digital resources returning to a free state. This is a valuable open data set, helping businesses, registrars and the content creation community easily search for beautiful domain names, domain names with high recognition history, serving branding, developing digital platforms and implementing digital economic models.

Before this time, the market did not have an official, centralized and instantly updated data source about the group of canceled domain names, leading to limitations in re-exploiting resources as well as a lack of official information sources for the community to access.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang - Acting Director of VNNIC said: "The public announcement of the list of recently canceled domain names is a strategic task of VNNIC in the period 2024-2026, aiming to expand data, improve the efficiency of exploiting and using Internet resources and create conditions for people, businesses and the technology community to proactively access information. This is an important foundation to form a digital service ecosystem around .vn domain name resources, promote innovation and develop the digital economy."

On tenmien.vn , the list of canceled domains is displayed in a visual lookup table, with two main data groups: (1) domains released today and (2) domains released in the last 30 days.

Users can easily search and sort according to their needs through the information fields: Domain name (sorted alphabetically), domain age (sorted ascending/descending), revocation date and "Registration."

This button links directly to the Registrar selection page at https://tenmien.vn/danh-sach-ten-mien-tu-do/dang-ky, allowing users to view the full list of Registrars recognized by VNNIC and forward to the Registrar's registration page to complete the procedure quickly and officially.

According to the representative of VNNIC, the list of liberated domain names opens up a high-value resource segment, creating clear advantages for many user groups in the digital environment.

For businesses and entrepreneurs, accessing this list makes it easy for them to choose short, memorable and brand-appropriate domain names.
