Vietnam Internet Center donates 36 thousand '.vn' domain names to units and schools in Dong Nai

(DN) - On October 9, within the framework of a series of activities at Techfest Dong Nai 2025, Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC) - a unit under the Ministry of Science and Technology, in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province, presented 36,000 domain names with the extension ".vn" and accompanying digital services (website, email, etc.) to people, students, business households and enterprises in the province.

According to Do Quang Trung, Head of the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) branch in Ho Chi Minh City, VNNIC has awarded 36,000 domain names “id.vn” and “biz.vn” along with accompanying digital services to socio-political organizations and educational units in Dong Nai, including: Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, Dong Nai Province Union of Science and Technology Associations, Dong Nai University, Lac Hong University, Dong Nai Province Forestry University Branch, Dong Nai High Technology College, and Eastern College.

The program is aimed at helping people, students, businesses and business households have safe and reliable digital tools to develop their online brands. At the same time, it has practical significance in popularizing the national domain name “.vn”, raising awareness of digital sovereignty and digital identity of Vietnam, as well as bringing national internet resources closer to the community.

The awarding of the domain names "id.vn", "biz.vn" and digital services (website, email, etc.) provides practical digital tools for citizens, students, business households, and start-up businesses within 1 year. This is a force that needs support in technology and digital skills, thereby raising awareness, skills, developing quickly, sustainably, and more confidently in the context of digital transformation in all fields.
