On August 22,FPT officially launched the SpeedX solution integrating new generation wireless transmission and connection technology XGS-PON and Wifi 7, marking a pioneering step in bringing new internet connection standards to Vietnamese users.
The solution delivers symmetrical speeds of up to 10Gbps for both upload and download. These speeds can change the way users interact with the digital world , making even the most demanding tasks effortless and instantaneous.
SpeedX is capable of allowing nearly 100 devices to connect at the same time while ensuring optimal performance for each device.
According to FPT representative, the big difference of this technology lies in the symmetrical speed reaching up to 10Gbp for both download and upload.
This is a game-changer for streamers, YouTubers, designers, or professionals working with big data. With Wifi 7 installed, uploading 4K/8K videos , backing up hundreds of GB of data to cloud computing platforms, or sending complex technical drawings will no longer be an obstacle, helping to optimize work performance and unleash creativity.
Not only that, Wifi 7 also optimizes coverage and anti-interference ability, ensuring strong and stable Internet signal in every space, from the living room, bedroom to the farthest corners of the house, helping family members to freely study, work and entertain anywhere.
FPT also officially introduced the FangTV application developed by FPT Play, a specialized livestream platform for Gaming and eSports.
This is part of FPT Play's long-term strategy, focusing on three main pillars: mastering technology, developing educational eSports content, and building an integrated digital ecosystem.
"We expect FangTV to become the leading eSports livestream platform in Vietnam, playing a role in connecting the community and contributing to the development of the domestic eSports industry," said Mr. Pham Thanh Tuan, Chairman and General Director of FPT Play.
Before FPT, in mid-2024, VNPT also announced that it had deployed a new technology Internet transmission line with a maximum speed of 10 Gbps, but not yet the speed to end users.
Thanks to the continuous upgrade of network infrastructure, Vietnam's Internet speed has also improved. According to the latest statistics published by i-Speed (Vietnam Internet Center - VNNIC, Ministry of Science and Technology), Vietnam's Internet speed in July 2025 increased sharply.
Specifically, according to records, the download and upload speeds of Vietnam's fixed broadband network recorded 258.28Mbps and 195.34 Mbps, respectively. This data also recorded the highest increase ever of Vietnam's fixed broadband network, even 2.6 times higher than the same period in 2024./.
