NIC Leader: Innovation is an effort of the entire ecosystem

On August 20, the Business Leadership Forum focusing on promoting the semiconductor ecosystem was organized by the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) in collaboration with Dassault Systèmes (France).

The event brings together more than 50 senior leaders from semiconductor, high-tech, managers and experts to plan strategies, promote digital innovation, develop human resources and collaborate strategically.

Dr. Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC) for Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo (December 22, 2024) to create breakthroughs in science, technology and innovation, accelerating the national digital transformation process; Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg (June 12, 2025) identifies 11 strategic technology groups and 35 strategic technology product groups as national development priorities.

"This is a policy of strategic significance, a guideline for the country's strong development towards enhancing national competitiveness. In particular, innovation and digital transformation are key driving forces, helping Vietnam escape the middle-income trap and affirm its position as a reliable and visionary partner in the global value chain," said Mr. Hoai.

"At the National Innovation Center, we always believe that innovation is never the result of a single organization. It is the effort of the entire ecosystem, from the leadership of the Government to the companionship of businesses, excellence in academic quality and international cooperation," Mr. Hoai affirmed.

Marie Keller, First Counsellor of the French Embassy in Vietnam, said that innovation is one of the top priorities in France’s diplomatic activities in Vietnam. This spirit is also at the heart of the “France-Vietnam Year of Innovation 2025,” an initiative that brings together public and private actors to showcase French expertise, with semiconductors being a strategic sector for both countries.

Emphasizing France's commitment to promoting innovation and technological cooperation with Vietnam, Ms. Marie Keller said that Dassault Systèmes is a truly French story, proof of the strength of the national innovation ecosystem with unique solutions, transforming both daily life and production processes.

On this occasion, Mr. Samson Khaou, Executive Vice President in charge of Asia-Pacific region, Dassault Systèmes, introduced virtual twin solutions at the forum and committed to strengthening the innovation-led ecosystem and building digital human resources for Vietnam.

Mr. Khaou also introduced Dassault Systèmes' "3D Universe" strategy. This technology enables companies to develop innovative products and services faster, more efficiently and more sustainably, by combining multiple interconnected virtual copies with technologies (such as modeling, simulation, data science and content) created by AI in their own industry environment. "3D Universe" is applied in the fields of manufacturing; life sciences-healthcare; infrastructure and cities.../.
