Labor safety inspection of construction packages of Long Thanh International Airport

(DN) - On October 7, the province's interdisciplinary inspection team led by Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai province Mai Xuan Tuan continued to inspect the implementation of legal regulations on labor safety, hygiene and fire and explosion prevention and fighting at a number of construction items of the Long Thanh International Airport project. Specifically, the delegation inspected packages 4.7 and 4.8 at Long Thanh International Airport. Package 4.7 includes 6 contractors for construction and installation of equipment for the aircraft parking lot, passenger terminal, and other construction works of component project 3 - essential works in the airport in phase 1. Package 4.8 for construction, installation of equipment, and design of construction drawings for internal traffic works and airport technical infrastructure is also part of component project 3.

Through the inspection of the actual situation and documents, the delegation noted that the contractors complied with the regulations on labor safety and hygiene in construction works. The delegation also requested the contractors to review, monitor and remind workers to comply with personal protection during the working process. In particular, pay attention to labor safety training and declare equipment with strict labor safety requirements to the competent authorities.

Concluding the inspection, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai province Mai Xuan Tuan emphasized: Long Thanh International Airport is a key national project and the pride of Dong Nai province. Therefore, the role of contractors, officers and workers is very important.

Construction units need to prioritize occupational safety and hygiene; staff, workers, and laborers must strictly comply with legal regulations on occupational safety and ensure their health at work so that the project can be completed on schedule. In addition, comments from departments and branches must be recorded to complete the dossier and report to the Department of Home Affairs as soon as possible.
