The program's goal is to mobilize the combined strength of the entire political system and the entire population in drug prevention and control; synchronously deploy solutions to reduce supply - reduce demand - reduce harm, and build a safe and healthy living environment. In particular, raise people's awareness, drastically reduce the number of drug addicts and illegal drug users; maintain and expand safe residential areas, and strive to eliminate drug abuse in the area by 2030.

Cam Ranh Ward Police regularly work and educate drug addicts in the area.

The plan identifies many key groups of tasks, in which the Ward Police force plays a core role, responsible for advising, reviewing, and establishing records to manage 100% of drug addicts and illegal drug users; fighting to destroy drug buying and selling points, organizing illegal drug use and growing plants containing drugs; coordinating with relevant units to effectively carry out drug rehabilitation, post-rehabilitation management, and supporting community reintegration...

Cam Ranh Ward is managing 9 drug addicts, 27 illegal drug users, and 5 drug rehabilitation cases. Up to now, the ward has established a pilot model of "Drug-free residential area in Loc Thanh residential group"; striving to have 4 residential groups recognized as "drug-free" by the end of 2025 and by 2030 the ward will meet the standards of a "drug-free" ward.
