National Economics University opens joint program to train bachelor of business with Waikato University

GD&TĐ - On October 9, the National Economics University held the Opening Ceremony of the 5th Course of the Business Bachelor Training Joint Program with Waikato University, New Zealand.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu - Vice President of the University happily welcomed 122 new students to officially join the program, and affirmed that choosing to accompany two prestigious universities is a meaningful first step, opening up a promising international learning journey for them.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu emphasized that the cooperative relationship between the National Economics University and Waikato University is a testament to the continuous efforts in internationalizing education, bringing global standard learning opportunities to Vietnamese students.

The two fields of Supply Chain Management and Digital Business are playing a key role in the modern economy. The program not only provides a prestigious international degree but also contributes to training high-quality human resources to meet the development needs of the country.

Also at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Jason Matangi - Deputy Dean of International Faculty, Waikato School of Management expressed his honor to have representatives of Waikato University's leadership present at this solemn ceremony.

Mr. Jason Matangi hopes that this joint program will quickly affirm its reputation and quality, with the number of students enrolling increasing steadily each year, of which the 5th course recorded a record number.

“We are proud to accompany you on your learning journey and are committed to providing a modern, innovative and comprehensive international training environment to help students develop their full potential,” he emphasized.

Representing the new students of the 5th course, Nguyen Minh Nguyet, a student of the Digital Business class, said that she came from a province where opportunities to learn English were limited. Although studying in a dynamic environment at a specialized school, Nguyet was always aware that she had to double her efforts to practice her foreign language skills, considering it a journey of perseverance and passion. Passion and perseverance help me believe that as long as I keep trying, I can overcome all challenges.

Being a student of the National Economics University and at the same time being a part of the Waikato University community is a great source of pride. “The initial worries quickly disappeared when I felt the dedication of the teachers and witnessed the maturity of my seniors. I knew that I had made the right choice - a program that not only provided knowledge but also opened up opportunities to experience and grow in a multicultural environment” - the new student expressed.

The Bachelor of Business in Supply Chain Management and Digital Business is an international program, taught entirely at the National Economics University and awarded by the University of Waikato, New Zealand.

The program has a total training duration of 3.5 years at the National Economics University. During the course of study, students can choose to study entirely at the National Economics University or flexibly transfer to study at the campuses of the University of Waikato in New Zealand.

By participating in the Bachelor of Business program of the University of Waikato, students can experience studying a 100% New Zealand training program right in Vietnam; the Bachelor of Business degree granted by the University of Waikato is recognized worldwide ; saving 75% of tuition fees compared to studying in New Zealand.

Enrolling in the Waikato Bachelor of Business at the National Economics University means becoming part of a worldwide Waikato student community; with opportunities to intern at companies both locally and internationally.

The language training program is in English, with 100% of the lecturers for 15 specialized subjects being lecturers from Waikato University, New Zealand; 100% of the domestic expert lecturers are trained abroad, have good professional and foreign language skills, and are evaluated and selected by Waikato University to teach the Program.
