Awarding 30 billion VND in scholarships to high-achieving students

A university has awarded scholarships worth from 22-88 million VND each to hundreds of students with a total value of 30 billion VND.

This morning (September 24), Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance held a ceremony to celebrate its 18th anniversary and welcome new students of 2025. On this occasion, the school awarded scholarships to the top students, new students with high admission scores, and students in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years with excellent academic achievements. The total value of the scholarships is 30 billion VND.

Specifically, 40 students received 100% scholarships for first-year tuition (equivalent to 88 million VND/student), 323 students received 50% scholarships (44 million VND/student) and 565 students received 25% scholarships (22 million VND/student).

The school also awards scholarships for talented students with academic, sports and artistic achievements to students studying at the school. In particular, 3 students with high achievements in sports and received the Labor Medal from the President were awarded 100% tuition scholarships (88 million VND/student).

They are Tran Dang Khoa, a student majoring in information technology; Nguyen Thanh Hien Linh, a student majoring in digital marketing, class of 2023, both members of the Vietnamese taekwondo team, gold medal at the 2024 World Taekwondo Championship, and the First Class Labor Medal awarded by the President. Le Ngoc Han, a student majoring in graphic design, class of 2023, a member of the Vietnamese taekwondo team, won a bronze medal at the 2024 World Taekwondo Championship, and received the Third Class Labor Medal awarded by the President.

Dr. Nhan Cam Tri, Vice Principal in charge of student activities of the school, said: " The school awards scholarships to students to encourage academic talents, create conditions for them to develop their abilities and participate in domestic and international academic competitions and playgrounds."
