In the program "New Student's Luggage" held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law on November 2, Captain Ly Bac Hai, propaganda officer of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, revealed a bad habit of students, which has many potential risks of causing fire and explosion, especially in dormitories or boarding houses with many people.
Small habits, big consequences
According to Captain Hai, students often use their phones while they are charging, even though the phone is hot, they still continue to use it. In some other cases, they are subjective, buying and using electrical equipment that is not guaranteed, the wire is exposed but still try to continue using it...
"Just small details and bad habits can unintentionally cause fires and explosions with unfortunate consequences. Young people can completely prevent them to minimize the risk of bad situations happening," Captain Hai affirmed.
At the program, Captain Hai also emphasized the importance of handling situations when trapped in a fire, instructing students on simple escape measures such as using blankets and wet towels to protect their respiratory tract, helping them protect their lives. New students need to proactively equip themselves with more knowledge about fire prevention and first aid skills.

Captain Ly Bac Hai emphasized the risks of using the phone while charging the battery.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chanh Trung reminded students not to drive after drinking alcohol or substances containing alcohol.
Stay away from "easy work, high salary"
Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Hong, Head of the Criminal Law Department, Faculty of Criminal Law, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, warned about fraudulent tricks in cyberspace, taking advantage of the "easy job, high salary" mentality or manipulating fear to appropriate property.
New students need to keep a steady mind, regularly update information and proactively seek support when encountering problems to avoid risks.
