Establishment of the Steering Committee for Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue in Da Nang City

DNO - The People's Committee of Da Nang city has just issued Decision No. 2037/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Steering Committee for Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue in Da Nang city.

According to the decision, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung is the Head of the Committee; Director of the City Police is the Standing Deputy Head of the Committee; along with 5 Deputy Heads of the Committee and 19 members representing leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

The City Fire Prevention, Fighting, Rescue and Salvation Steering Committee (Steering Committee) is responsible for assisting the Chairman of the City People's Committee in performing the state management function of fire prevention, fighting, rescue and salvage in the city according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 42 of Decree No. 105/2025/ND-CP dated May 15, 2025 of the Government detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Fire Prevention, Fighting, Rescue and Salvation.

The Steering Committee is responsible for directing, operating, monitoring, inspecting, and urging departments, branches, sectors, units, organizations, and localities in organizing the implementation of assigned fire prevention, firefighting, rescue, and salvage tasks; monitoring, synthesizing, summarizing, reporting, evaluating, and drawing lessons from fire prevention, firefighting, rescue, and salvage work.

Propose rewards for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements; develop plans, programs, and schemes to mobilize forces and means to participate in handling fire, explosion, and rescue situations in the area; perform other tasks assigned by the City People's Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee.

The Head of the Steering Committee is allowed to use the seal of the City People's Committee; the Permanent Deputy Head is allowed to use the seal of the City Police to manage the activities and issue documents of the Steering Committee...
