The motivation for Nguyen Thanh Tung (HCMC) to study abroad comes from the desire to explore the vast world.

At the age of 17, when many of his peers were still struggling to shape their future, Ngo Thanh Tung wrote his own proud journey with the experience of studying and developing himself in the US. For Tung, going abroad is not only to access new knowledge but also an opportunity to broaden his vision of history, culture, international relations and independence - which Tung considers an important foundation for every young person. Tung is grateful to his parents - who supported his decision to leave home when he had just finished 10th grade.

The school Tung attended as part of the cultural exchange program was Highland High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico - an environment diverse in ethnicity, language and lifestyle. In addition to being fluent in English, he also learned Spanish and Swahili - the main language in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and widely used along the East African coast. The initial confusion in a foreign country was quickly filled by the enthusiasm of teachers and friends. "They took me to each class, pointed out vocabulary I didn't know, and guided me through every little thing" - Tung said.

Tung is very active in sports to reduce stress and improve physical health. He is passionate about writing physics and mathematics research papers with his friends. Many times he participated in selling pizza to raise funds for school competitions, and at the same time learned how to come up with effective business ideas. Through this, not only did he improve his soft skills but also helped Tung connect with new friends and see the value of sharing and team spirit.

Not only studying for himself, Tung is also very interested in serving the community. Recently, he has been working as an online tutor on the College Board platform to support young people studying for the SAT math test. Tung also cherished the idea of ​​programming an automatic irrigation pump based on soil moisture to help the elderly in his neighborhood in Ho Chi Minh City.

With outstanding abilities in information technology and foreign languages, Tung pursued his dream of becoming a semiconductor engineer - a career that requires sharp thinking, perseverance and courage. Although he did not complete high school, Tung was accepted into the University of New Mexico with a full scholarship. However, he continued to improve his grades and expand his extracurricular activities to conquer more challenging milestones of American education .
