On November 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH-TT-DL) of Ca Mau province said that Phan Ngoc Hien Square in An Xuyen ward is not only a symbolic architectural work of art but also a space for cultural, artistic and festival activities... of the people.

Phan Ngoc Hien Square has an area of over 35,000 m2 , with a total investment of 278 billion VND. Including a 24 m high Ca Mau shrimp symbol, a 28 m high national flagpole and 233 artistic water fountains.

A child was taken by his parents to Phan Ngoc Hien Square for fun and entertainment.

The shrimp symbol is present in the square as the "heart" of Ca Mau city.

Besides, many domestic and foreign tourists have chosen the Ca Mau shrimp symbol as a "check-in" spot because this place has a very beautiful view.
Ca Mau has a shrimp farming area of over 410,000 hectares, with an estimated output of 566,000 tons in 2024, accounting for 45% of the country's shrimp output. Shrimp has made an important contribution to bringing the province's seafood export value from 2.6 to 2.9 billion USD/year.
