On November 8, Bui Thi Xuan High School (Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) organized the final round of the "Green Living for a Sustainable Future" contest. Here, more than 20 products with rich topics and diverse perspectives of Gen Z generation on the environment, technology and community were presented, pleasing the eyes and ears of the audience.
The finalists all demonstrated their bravery, creativity and sense of responsibility towards the green planet. "The students did not just talk about theory but knew how to connect technology with their hearts, small actions with big visions. This was demonstrated through colorful posters, vivid illustrative clips, and confident, logical presentations," said Mr. Huynh Thanh Phu, Principal of Bui Thi Xuan High School.

The finalists are all products that demonstrate courage, creativity and responsibility for the green planet.
To participate in the contest, each group of students from Bui Thi Xuan High School chose a separate approach such as protecting water resources, recycling waste, saving energy, and applying AI technology in identifying and classifying waste. One group brought a "green smart city" model, where artificial intelligence helps people manage energy, detect pollution and propose immediate solutions. Another group chose a simple, practical way, encouraging students in the school to turn off lights when not in use, turn off the engine when waiting at red lights, keep rivers and canals clean, pick up a fallen leaf to keep people's hearts cool...

During the presentation, many students said that "green living" for the previous generation might mean planting trees and reducing plastic bags. But for Gen Z, citizens of the digital age, "green living" also means living smartly, living responsibly, living to spread positive energy.
In the "Recycled Waste Bank" project, the implementing team said that each discarded material is converted into bonus points to encourage students to recycle. Meanwhile, a group proposed using AI to identify wasteful electricity consumption behavior in the classroom, thereby suggesting saving measures. A representative of the jury from the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City, said that in addition to scoring, through the presentations, they also opened up thinking directions, aroused passion for research and critical thinking skills in students.

Group 11A15 won first prize with their unique and creative poster and presentation.
From small ideas in the contest, students of Bui Thi Xuan High School have formed many green action groups such as "BTX Eco Club", "Picking up trash with a smile", "Creative recycling", "Green school corner". According to the organizers, these are specific activities in the journey to turn schools into environmentally friendly living spaces.

According to Mr. Huynh Thanh Phu, each product is a unique idea of the students. The uniqueness lies in the fact that the students research and apply from real life, at school and the product can be applied in reality.
"Students at Bui Thi Xuan High School are learning how to use technology to serve the environment, not to let technology consume resources. They understand that a sustainable planet must go hand in hand with a moderate, compassionate lifestyle and respect for nature. "Green living" is not only about keeping the earth less hot, but also about keeping people's hearts cooler. Every small action like picking up a fallen leaf or turning off an extra light bulb contributes to calming the planet's breath, so that tomorrow our community can breathe peacefully" - Mr. Phu shared.
