Schools with the highest 10th grade benchmark scores in recent years in Hanoi such as Yen Hoa, Phan Dinh Phung, Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong, Kim Lien... are predicted to continue to be "hot" in 2025.

Accordingly, Yen Hoa High School - the school that always has the second highest standard score every year, this year continues to lead in the competition ratio with 1/2.44, meaning that on average, nearly 3 candidates take the exam for only one to pass. Following are Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong, Kim Lien High School. These are also the schools with the highest annual standard score in the top 5.

In general, the benchmark scores of most high schools in recent years have remained stable, with many schools having the highest benchmark scores every year, such as Yen Hoa, Phan Dinh Phung, Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong, Kim Lien, Viet Duc... Based on the average score of each subject and coefficient, many teachers predict that the benchmark scores for grade 10 in Hanoi this year may increase slightly compared to last year.

The predicted 15 schools with the highest 10th grade benchmark scores in Hanoi in 2025 are as follows: Yen Hoa High School, Phan Dinh Phung High School, Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong, Kim Lien High School, Viet Duc High School, Nguyen Gia Thieu High School, Thang Long High School, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, Nhan Chinh High School, Cau Giay High School, Tran Phu High School - Hoan Kiem, Le Quy Don High School - Dong Da, Tran Nhan Tong High School, Pham Hong Thai High School, Quang Trung High School - Dong Da.

If in previous years, Hanoi calculated admission scores on a scale of 50, by multiplying the coefficients of 2 subjects Math and Literature, plus the coefficient of 1 for English, this year, the admission score is the total score of 3 subjects, without multiplying the coefficient, calculated on a scale of 30.

According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training, from June 9 to June 22, the Examination Council of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will mark multiple-choice tests. From June 11 to June 22, the Council will mark essay tests.

From July 4 to July 6, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the test scores of candidates on the Department's electronic information portal and the city's primary admission portal. Also during this period, the Department will announce the benchmark scores of schools.

Candidates can look up their 10th grade entrance exam scores in Hanoi on the electronic information portal of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the city's primary school admission portal (https://tsdaucap.hanoi.gov.vn/tra-cuu-tuyen-sinh-10).

According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training, from June 9 to 22, the Examination Council of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will mark multiple-choice tests. From June 11 to 22, the council will mark essay tests. Immediately after the scores are available, candidates who are concerned about their subject scores can submit a request for re-scoring. The request must be submitted to the Department of Education and Training before July 10.

On July 17, the Department of Education and Training and specialized high schools and public high schools will meet to approve additional admission scores for public grade 10 (if any). From July 19-22, schools will organize admission confirmation and receive additional admission applications (if any).

One of the notable new points in this year's 10th grade entrance exam is the adjustment of the way the admission score is calculated. Instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years; in 2025, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), each subject is calculated on a 10-point scale and does not have a coefficient. This calculation method aims to ensure fairness between subjects and encourage students to study all subjects equally.

The formula for calculating the admission score (Score) for grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools in Hanoi in 2025 is as follows:

DXT = Math score + Literature score + Foreign language score + priority score (if any) + incentive score (if any).
