The benchmark for considering transcripts of 10 universities is almost reaching the threshold of 30.

Foreign Trade University announced early admission scores based on the academic records of candidates from specialized schools and national excellent students (see details here). The highest admission score is 31 for Supply Chain Management.

With the combined international certificate examination method, the highest benchmark score for Economics (advanced program in Foreign Economics ) is 30.

Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Hien, Head of Training Department, Foreign Trade University, said that many candidates do not understand the new conversion calculation method, so they are still wondering. In fact, there is no longer a situation where the benchmark score is above 30.

In the admission plan, the school clearly stipulates the calculation formula and the maximum score for this method is 34, not 30 points (including 30 points from three subjects in the combination + a maximum of 4 points for candidates who won first prize at the national level). As for the admission method combining academic records with provincial excellent student awards, the maximum score is 32.

The school also stated that after calculating the candidates' scores, the school will convert the total score to a 30-point scale so that candidates can understand clearly. The reason the school has come up with such a calculation is to ensure compliance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training in changing the way of calculating priority points, and to avoid the situation of the standard score exceeding 30.

For example, the admission score for the provincial excellent student award based on the transcript method is 31 points - Supply Chain Management major. After converting the score to a 30-point scale, the admission score will be 29.1. "Foreign Trade University clearly shows this calculation and conversion method in the admission score announcement, candidates can follow it," Ms. Hien added.

Hanoi Law University once announced the benchmark score for the Economic Law major, group A01 (Math, Physics, English) as 30.3. A few hours later, the school had to announce a reduction to 30, to comply with the Ministry's request (see details here).

After conversion, the International Communication major of the Diplomatic Academy still takes 30 points in the C00 group (Literature, History, Geography) equal to the high school study results. This level is because the school has added a maximum of 10 incentive points.

Hanoi National University of Education announced that the admission score based on high school transcripts this year ranges from 20.5 to 29.8 (see details here). The highest score is Math Pedagogy (taught in English) with 29.8 points - this major only recruits 5 students based on transcripts. Next is Chemistry Pedagogy (taught in English) with 28.93 points.

Total score = Average score of grades 10, 11 and 12 of Math and bonus points according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The highest-scoring major of the Banking Academy is also 29.8 - Digital Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, International Business, Economic Law, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Many other majors are above 29.

Thuyloi University , major in Information Technology, Logistics and Supply Chain Management got 29.5 points, E-commerce 29.25, Law 29.03 (see details here).

The University of Transport Technology also offers the highest standard score for the majors of E-commerce, Logistics and Supply Chain Management at 29 points (see details here).

Hanoi University of Industry announced the standard score from 25.1 to 29.23, in which Information Technology is the highest (see details here) - this is also the only major of the school with a score above 29.

In the Southern region, many universities also set benchmark scores close to the peak of 30 points. For example, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education announced the highest transcript score of 29.73 in Chemistry Education. Mathematics, Physics, and Biology Education also require 29 or higher.

Can Tho University has set the highest benchmark score for Mathematics Education at 29.25. The next major is Chemistry Education with a benchmark score of 29.1.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education offers the highest early admission score for Information Technology at over 29.

Early admission is an admission method that does not use the results of the high school graduation exam. Universities often consider high school transcripts, aptitude test scores, separate admissions, priority admissions... Candidates' admission results will be officially recognized after meeting the requirements for high school graduation.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son emphasized that the Ministry has repeatedly reminded schools that they can conduct early admissions but are not allowed to require candidates to officially enroll. At the same time, schools are also not allowed to announce the list of officially admitted candidates early.

Official admission must wait for high school graduation results, admission schedule must follow the general process of the Ministry of Education and Training to ensure the rights and opportunities of candidates.

When schools allow candidates to enroll early, they will hesitate whether to choose to enroll based on these results or wait for the high school graduation exam results and other methods. Therefore, many candidates may miss other opportunities that should be prioritized, Mr. Son emphasized.

Currently, nearly 100 universities have announced early admission plans using transcripts combined with international language certificates.
