In particular, Can Tho City has a product recognized as a national OCOP, which is ST25 rice of Ho Quang Tri Private Enterprise.
The Central Office for New Rural Area Coordination recommends that for products recognized as OCOP at the national level, localities need to create favorable conditions to support promotion, trade promotion, product introduction in diplomatic events, conferences, and local trade connection activities; and include OCOP products in the list of gifts and presents to spread regional brands.
Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Tran Chi Hung assigned The Department of Agriculture and Environment presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies and units to announce the results of the assessment and classification of national OCOP products in 2025 (phase 1) to the subjects and People's Committees at the commune level.
At the same time, continue to pay attention to expanding and managing raw material areas, quality management, improving and enhancing product quality associated with local advantages, values and identities.
In addition, it is necessary to pay more attention to environmental protection and fully implement environmental protection regulations in production and business activities in accordance with regulations.
