Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao's assets reach 3 billion USD, Vietjet shares fly high

(Dan Tri) - Vietjet shares had the second session of ceiling price increase, along with HDBank, being in the group of stocks with the most positive impact on the general index.

In today's stock trading session (July 23), the market maintained the 1,510 point mark after a tug-of-war situation. Green still dominated both HoSE and HNX. Market liquidity improved significantly, exceeding VND38,000 billion.

At the end of the session, VN-Index reached more than 1,512 points, up nearly 3 points compared to yesterday. The index maintained its upward momentum thanks to the support of banking stocks such as VPB, HDB, VIB, MBB,ACB ...

The VN30 large-cap stocks group had a slight adjustment this session, down 2.97 points. Contrary to the general situation, VJC ( Vietjet Air) continued to increase to the ceiling price of 108,800 VND/unit and there were no sellers. Maintaining the purple color like yesterday, this code also had a ceiling price buy surplus of more than 2 million units.

In addition, HDB ( HDBank ) shares also increased by 4.13%, to VND26,500/unit. The pair HDB and VJC were both in the top 3 stocks that increased, having the most positive impact on the general index.

The assets of billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Chairwoman of Vietjet Air, Standing Vice Chairwoman of HDBank - have also reached the threshold of 3 billion USD, an increase of 277 million USD compared to yesterday. This level is close to the peak of Ms. Thao's past asset value (3.1 billion USD in 2018 and 2022).

On the contrary, the group of stocks related to billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong including VIC, VHM, VRE all decreased significantly today, strongly affecting the index. VHM shares decreased by 3.46%, VIC decreased by 2.13%, VRE decreased by 2.5%.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai's HAG shares were also negatively affecting the index today, falling 3.33% to VND14,500/share. The "newbie" on the HoSE floor, VAB (Viet A Commercial Joint Stock Bank), fell 1.96% to VND15,000/share, trading in the green after the listing day.
