In areas with high tides and deep flooding, not only do daily activities become difficult, but there is also a high risk of electric shock due to electrical cabinets, electrical outlets, and electrical wire connections being submerged in water. Therefore, before the annual rainy season, Dong Nai Electricity Company and other agencies, units, and localities in the province always proactively check and strengthen the power grid system, ensuring safe, stable, and continuous power supply.

The company also closely coordinates with local authorities to propagate and instruct people to take preventive measures, especially turning off the circuit breaker when water floods into the house, installing electrical equipment in high positions, using anti-electric leakage devices, not touching sockets or switches with wet hands, and absolutely not standing near power stations or electric poles when it rains heavily.
The electricity industry recommends that people do not attempt to repair broken wires or areas with signs of electric leakage themselves, but should immediately report to the local electricity authority for timely handling, in order to protect lives and property during the rainy season.
Previously, on October 26, the Southern Power Corporation issued an urgent warning about the risk of electrical safety during the flooding season, in the context that many localities in the southern region (including Dong Nai province) are being affected by high tides and prolonged heavy rain.
