Previously, from the afternoon of October 26, due to prolonged heavy rain, many sections of Lo Xo Pass suffered serious landslides, causing 37 trucks with more than 50 people stuck between landslides in the border area between Quang Ngai province and Da Nang city. This area is located in the middle of the forest, there are no houses, cooking and daily activities are difficult.
To help drivers stranded on Lo Xo Pass, Ngoc Hoi Traffic Police Team and Lo Xo Pass SOS Team decided to provide food and provisions. At around 10:30 a.m. on October 27, 12 members of Lo Xo Pass SOS Team crossed a landslide about 200m long, many places were waist-deep in mud, to bring bread, instant noodles, dry food, milk and water to the drivers. Although it was still raining and the risk of landslides was high, the supply team still made efforts to bring the food to a safe place.

Mr. Nguyen Vy Ly, Team Leader of SOS Lo Xo Pass, said that when the group arrived, the drivers and bus assistants were emotional because they had not had any food since last night until this morning. The members of the organization distributed food, provisions, and water, and left the landslide site at 1 p.m. the same day.
