Earlier, from the afternoon of October 26th, due to prolonged heavy rain, many sections of the Lo Xo pass suffered serious landslides, trapping 37 trucks with more than 50 people in the landslide area bordering Quang Ngai province and Da Nang city. This area is located in the middle of the forest, with no houses nearby, making cooking and daily life very difficult.
To help drivers stranded on Lo Xo Pass, the Ngoc Hoi Traffic Police Team and the Lo Xo Pass SOS Team decided to deliver food and supplies. At approximately 10:30 AM on October 27th, 12 members of the Lo Xo Pass SOS Team braved a landslide section about 200 meters long, with mud up to their waists in many places, to bring bread, instant noodles, dried food, milk, and water to the drivers. Despite the rain and the high risk of further landslides, the supply team persevered in delivering the food to a safe location.

Nguyen Vy Ly, team leader of the Lo Xo Pass SOS team, said that when the team arrived, the drivers and their assistants were emotional because they hadn't had any food since the previous night. The team members distributed food, supplies, and water, and left the landslide site at 1 PM that same day.
