Strictly enforce the VNeID declaration requirement for crew members when ships enter and leave ports.

On December 13th, a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, led by Vice Chairman Hoang Nguyen Dinh, conducted a working session and on-site inspection of the prevention and control of illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing at the following fishing ports: Incomap (Vung Tau ward), Cat Lo (Phuoc Thang ward), Hung Thai, and Tan Phuoc (Long Hai commune).

During the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Hoang Nguyen Dinh requested that leaders of fishing ports strictly implement the Electronic Traceability System for harvested seafood (eCDT) for 100% of fishing vessels entering and leaving the ports; monitor catch volume as a basis for traceability, and issue certificates of origin for harvested seafood (SC certificates) and certificates of origin for harvested seafood (CC certificates) as prescribed. He also requested that functional forces strictly implement the declaration process through the VNeID system for crew members when vessels enter and leave the port.

For fishing vessels operating at sea whose registration has expired or is about to expire, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Hoang Nguyen Dinh requested the Ho Chi Minh City Fisheries and Fisheries Inspection Department to send text messages to the captains to bring their vessels ashore for timely registration, avoiding violations.
