On December 11th, reporters observed serious landslides at Pa Sy waterfall in Kon Plong district, former Kon Tum province (now Mang Den commune, Quang Ngai province). A section of the landslide, approximately 60 meters long, at the foot of the waterfall buried hundreds of cubic meters of soil into the stream, causing blockages and posing a potential danger to tourists.
The landslides not only filled in the stream, causing flooding and destroying structures in the tourist area, but also created a sheer cliff, likened to a "land bomb," that could collapse at any moment, threatening the safety of tourists.

Many tourists, including Mr. Vo Chi Cong (Thong Nhat ward, Gia Lai ), expressed disappointment when they visited Pa Sy waterfall only to have to turn back because the tourist area was temporarily closed.
"I heard that Pa Sy waterfall was very beautiful, so I decided to visit, but it was closed. I had to go back to the center of Mang Den commune to visit other places," Mr. Cong shared.
Mr. Pham Van Thang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Mang Den commune, said that Pa Sy waterfall is an important tourist highlight, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. However, the recent floods have caused severe damage to this tourist area.

To ensure the safety of tourists, Mang Den commune has requested the tourist area to temporarily suspend operations to address the landslide. The construction unit is urgently mobilizing machinery to level the slope, clear the waterway, and restore the buried stream.
Mr. Thang emphasized: "The temporary closure of Pa Sy waterfall has a significant impact on the upcoming New Year's holiday tourist season. The local authorities have requested the construction unit to rectify the situation promptly so that the tourist site can reopen for the New Year holiday."

In addition, the People's Committee of Mang Den commune has also submitted a proposal to the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province requesting funding to repair, renovate, and beautify the landscape of Pa Sy waterfall, aiming to create more attractive check-in points and food areas for tourists.
Pa Sy Waterfall is known as a "garden of paradise" with its pristine beauty nestled in the Mang Den forest. It's an ideal destination for those who want to explore and experience nature.
