This is a trade promotion event chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , the Hanoi People's Committee and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; organized by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) in coordination with the Central Office for New Rural Area Coordination and the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade.
At the press conference on the afternoon of July 23 in Hanoi, Mr. Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said: VIETNAM OCOPEX 2025 is large-scale with 300 booths of nearly 200 units displaying thousands of OCOP-certified products from 34 provinces and cities across the country: tea, coffee, cashew nuts, handicraft products, medicinal herbs, agarwood, essential oils, turmeric starch, agricultural products and processed foods, bird's nest, beauty products such as shampoo, conditioner, serum... In addition, there is also the participation of the Bluezone purified water brand.
“In particular, this year, in addition to the large participation of booths from provinces and cities across the country, the fair also attracted the participation of international booths from countries such as Peru, Laos, Cambodia, etc.; connecting booths of commercial units” - Mr. Bui Quang Hung shared.
Mr. Phuong Dinh Anh, Deputy Chief of the Central Office for New Rural Development Coordination, emphasized that VIETNAM OCOPEX 2025 is organized to support Vietnamese OCOP entities to promote domestic market development, export key products and OCOP products with national advantages to foreign distribution networks, participate deeply in the global value chain, and proactively integrate into the world economy . Through the Fair, OCOP entities are introduced and connected with foreign enterprises as well as foreign representative agencies and trade promotion organizations in Vietnam.
“This helps foreign representative agencies have the opportunity to access information about the market and unique OCOP products of localities, while creating conditions for direct and intuitive connection with OCOP entities when necessary,” said Mr. Dinh Anh.

The fair is also an opportunity to widely promote, advertise, and display high-quality OCOP products. Thereby, helping international distribution channels and importers know that Vietnam has a rich and diverse supply of high-quality OCOP products that meet international standards, the needs and requirements of major distribution channels in the world, so that they can cooperate in consumption.
As of July 2025, the country had 17,068 OCOP products with 3 stars or more, from 9,195 OCOP entities. Of which, 126 products were recognized as 5-star OCOP products at the national level. To date, many OCOP products have met quality and food safety standards and regulations; have diverse designs and packaging, are environmentally friendly, and meet market requirements.
The OCOP program has had positive and profound impacts on rural economic development, becoming a key policy, spreading strongly, being implemented synchronously and widely, becoming a priority solution in rural economic development, associated with new rural construction in all localities across the country.
With diverse advantages and potentials in natural resources, climate and unique culture, Vietnam is not only successful in exporting agricultural products, but is also a country with many specialties, products and traditional craft villages, carrying local cultural values, most clearly demonstrated in the image of Vietnamese OCOP products. These are products that express the value and quintessence of Vietnamese culture through each product story.
