(CLO) On February 6th, the Cao Bang Provincial Journalists Association, in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Culture , Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province, inaugurated the Spring Press Festival and the 2025 Journalists Association Chess Tournament (expanded).

The 2025 Spring Press Festival of Cao Bang province features 7 exhibition booths, showcasing nearly 200 newspapers, magazines, special editions, and books from central and local press agencies nationwide. With innovative formats and diverse, rich content, the Spring publications present a comprehensive picture of politics , socio-economics, people's lives, the difficulties and challenges overcome, the achievements of 2024, and the potential, prospects, and determination for the next stage in the new year.

Speaking with a reporter from the Newspaper and Public Opinion, journalist Tran Hoai Nam, Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial Journalists Association, said: This year's Spring Press Festival in Cao Bang province in 2025 has many innovations compared to previous years. The activities of the festival are linked to the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam ; the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of the birth of beloved President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025). The Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with various units to organize the Spring Press Festival in conjunction with an exhibition of beautiful photos of Cao Bang tourism and the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, creating a positive impression on the public.

Within the framework of the Press Festival, there was also an exhibition of books on the theme of the Communist Party of Vietnam, affirming that the Party's founding marked a crucial historical turning point, laying the foundation for the sustainable development of the country. Many books also introduced the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh – the brilliant leader of the Vietnamese revolution, the founder, trainer, and leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

“This year, the layout of the exhibition booths, the stage… has also been significantly improved, creating a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere, full of the spirit of spring. In particular, within the framework of the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Snake, the Cao Bang Journalists Association, in coordination with the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, is organizing the 3rd Journalists Association Chess Tournament (expanded) in 2025, creating a lively competitive atmosphere for the Tet holiday,” journalist Tran Hoai Nam shared.

The Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Snake (2015) is a unique political and cultural event, providing an opportunity to strengthen interaction and exchange between journalists and the public. Through this, it encourages the press to perform its functions and duties well, meeting the ever-increasing information needs of the people.
