According to information from the National Economics University, this minimum admission score of 20 includes the 2023 high school graduation exam score based on the chosen subject combination, priority points for eligible candidates and regions, and priority points for admission to majors and programs with a weighting of 1.
For subject combinations, if Math or English is weighted with a factor of 2, other subjects will be weighted with a factor of 1, then converted to a 30-point scale using the formula: (Score of subject 1 + score of subject 2 + Math/English score x 2) x 3/4 + priority points.

Associate Professor Bui Duc Trieu, Head of the Training Management Department at the National Economics University, commented that many candidates considered this year's high school graduation exam to have a high degree of differentiation. This is a positive sign, indicating that the exam is gradually being standardized.
Despite the exam being more challenging than last year, the cutoff scores this year are not significantly lower than last year. He also stated that any increase or decrease would be minimal (0.25 - 0.5 points, depending on the major).
As for "hot" majors like Marketing, International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, the cutoff scores in 2022 were above 28, and it's unlikely they will increase much higher this year. Candidates can refer to the 2022 cutoff scores as a basis for adjusting their nguyện vọng (application preferences) accordingly, Mr. Trieu noted.
This year, the National Economics University is recruiting 6,200 students. Of these, only 25% will be admitted based on high school graduation exam scores, 73% will be allocated to combined admission methods according to the university's own plan, and 2% will be admitted directly according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the university.
The university has announced early admission scores for three methods: admission based on international SAT or ACT certificates (DT1); using aptitude and thinking skills assessment scores (DT2); and admission combining English certificates with aptitude and thinking skills assessment scores (DT3).
Accordingly, in the DT1 method, the highest cutoff score was 28.13 for International Business, while some other majors had cutoff scores above 27, including E-commerce, Auditing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Data Science in Economics and Business.
With admission method DT2, the cutoff scores ranged from 18 to 24. Logistics and Supply Chain Management had the highest cutoff score, followed by International Business with 23.43. These were also the two majors with the highest cutoff scores under admission method DT3, at 23.71 and 23.66 points respectively.
