An Giang supported 6,120 households to borrow capital to develop production with the amount of 30,600 million VND, other credit programs have lent nearly 20,000 people to produce and do business with the amount of nearly 240,000 million VND.

With the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the good and effective coordination of agencies, departments, branches, socio-political organizations of the province, the Party Committees and authorities of districts and cities have actively mobilized and effectively implemented many programs, projects and non-projects in ethnic minority areas in many fields.
From 2019 to 2024, 113 aid and sponsorship packages with a total cost of 37,600 million VND were mobilized to build 21 bridges, 4 rural roads, repair 15 schools with 17 rooms and 02 televisions, upgrade and expand 02 centralized domestic water supply works, drill 680 new hand-pumped wells, support clean water systems at 44 schools, 01 climate change mitigation project, support 60 households to develop production and 2,600 kg of rice, award 3,494 scholarships, give 3,762 gifts, support the repair of 01 Khmer pagoda, give 240 bicycles to poor students, give 500 medical examination and treatment packages... Since then, many urgent problems in the locality, especially in ethnic minority areas, have been solved, contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the province.

Implementing the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, Phase 1, 2021 - 2025; The Program has invested in building infrastructure, changing the face of rural areas, developing education, healthcare, improving people's lives... Thereby, it has created trust among people, especially ethnic minorities, with the Party and State, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety in these areas.
Over the past years, the Central Government has issued many policies and guidelines for ethnic minorities. On that basis, the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of An Giang province have led, directed, concretized, deployed, thoroughly grasped and well implemented ethnic policies and guidelines, thereby improving the economy and living standards of ethnic minorities; investing in social culture, maintaining security and order; and ethnic minorities have strived to improve in labor, production, study and work.
However, according to the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of An Giang province, there are still some difficulties and problems in the implementation process, such as: ethnic programs, projects and policies are not implemented synchronously; some sub-projects do not have clear instructions; coordination between agencies and units in implementing programs and projects is sometimes not tight. The management and operation apparatus of the program from district to commune is arranged, but the staff mainly work part-time, the staff directly implementing at the grassroots level is still lacking and weak in capacity and experience....
