"Bright spot" in studying and following Uncle Ho's example in the provincial armed forces

Thanks to thorough preparation, Muong Ang district successfully hosted the parade and marching contingent that stopped in the district.

Muong Ang district had the honor of being one of the stopping points for delegations and parades commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory before heading to Dien Bien Phu city. To ensure thorough preparation, the Muong Ang District Military Command participated in erecting 8 tents and 4 restrooms (including 1 military medical tent and 1 repair station for the Ministry of National Defense ). They also deployed forces at 7 security checkpoints. Thanks to this good preparation, on April 24th, Muong Ang district successfully welcomed 3 parade delegations comprising 253 vehicles and over 3,000 people.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Sy Luong, Assistant Militia Officer (Military Command of Muong Ang District), said: “I am very honored and proud to have contributed a small part of my efforts to the preparation for the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, by preparing rest areas and stopping points for the delegations and marching forces. Despite the hot weather, all comrades made efforts to complete their tasks.”

Every year, the Military Command of Muong Ang District effectively carries out the work of educating and disseminating the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State; and the directives and resolutions of the Central Committee, Military Region 2, the province, and the district. It effectively implements Directive 05 of the Politburo and Directive 87 of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission on "Promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style in the Party Committee of the Army and the entire army." Political education and legal dissemination are organized with 100% of personnel participating, and over 98.8% achieving excellent results. The ethical standards based on President Ho Chi Minh's thought and style are concretized and linked to the functions and tasks of the Party committee, Party branches, and individual Party members.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Dinh Hai, Political Commissar of the Muong Ang District Military Command, said: "The unit organizes the study, understanding, and implementation of the contents of learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings through various forms suitable to the requirements of the mission, so that officers and soldiers can easily remember, understand, and implement them. This enhances the effectiveness of traditional education, builds political fortitude, and fosters revolutionary qualities and ethics among officers and soldiers. It emphasizes the exemplary responsibility of officers and Party members in promoting the qualities of 'Uncle Ho's soldiers.' Through this, each officer, Party member, and soldier, based on their duties, registers specific tasks to follow Uncle Ho's teachings that are relevant to their assigned responsibilities and tasks."

With the motto "specific, practical, and effective," the Party Committee and the Military Command of the district annually study, concretize, and thoroughly implement directives and resolutions from higher levels regarding military and national defense tasks. They regularly coordinate with agencies and units to closely monitor the situation, advise on effective handling of situations, and maintain strict combat readiness to prevent passivity and surprise; contributing to maintaining political security and social order in the area. They also effectively advise the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee on organizing combat exercises at the commune level within the defense zone. In 2023, the unit coordinated with other forces to conduct eight training exercises on combat plans.

Officers and soldiers of the Mường Ảng District Military Command helped people move their belongings out of areas at risk of landslides.

The district's armed forces have also effectively implemented the gratitude and repayment movement, with the army contributing to the construction of new rural areas; participating in disaster prevention and control, flood relief, search and rescue, and COVID-19 prevention and control, leaving many positive impressions in the hearts of the people. Most recently, in the program to build solidarity houses for poor households in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, officers and soldiers of the District Military Command helped people move facilities, clear land, and build solidarity houses with a total of 675 man-days.

Learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example is also integrated into the daily activities and lives of officers and soldiers of the District Military Command, such as planting trees, growing vegetables and medicinal herbs, cleaning the unit; and using electricity and water sparingly.

Officers and soldiers of the Mường Ảng District Military Command are engaging in agricultural production.

Learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, combined with fulfilling the unit's political tasks, has led cadres, Party members, and soldiers to increasingly deeply understand the immense value of Ho Chi Minh's thought and morality. From this, they strive to successfully complete all assigned tasks. In 2023, the District Military Party Committee was assessed as having excellently completed its tasks, with 100% of Party members completing their tasks well or better. In recognition of these achievements, the Muong Ang District Military Command was awarded the title of "Unit of Victory" by the 2nd Military Region Command.
