According to representatives of major retail systems in Vietnam, the end of the second quarter of each year is usually a quiet period for the mobile market, especially for iPhone products.
The reason is that this time is close to the launch cycle of the new generation iPhone, causing many users to tend to wait to buy a new device, or wait for the old versions to continue to be discounted after the new product is launched. To stimulate consumer demand, dealers have simultaneously launched many incentive programs.
Currently, the iPhone 13 is being sold for 11.5 million VND, a decrease of 500,000 VND compared to last month. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are priced from 12.5 million VND and 18 million VND (128GB version), respectively. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus 128GB versions are being offered for 15.5 million VND and 19 million VND.

The global artificial intelligence (AI) race continues to heat up as DeepSeek – an ambitious AI startup from China – has quietly released a new update to its R1 inference model.
The new version, named R1-0528, has been posted on the open source platform Hugging Face. Although not announced publicly, this move is considered by experts to increase competitive pressure on major US rivals such as OpenAI, in the context of the increasingly fierce AI race.
According to the LiveCodeBench rankings – which evaluate the programming ability of AI models, R1 is currently only slightly behind OpenAI's mini o3 and o4 models. Notably, it has surpassed Grok 3 mini (from xAI – Elon Musk's company) and Qwen 3 from tech giant Alibaba.

Fake shipper scam calls are on the rise

The scammer texted the bank account number and requested an urgent transfer (Photo: The Anh).
A new form of fraud is flourishing as criminals impersonate delivery staff of e-commerce platforms to approach victims.
Accordingly, the subjects will proactively call any person, informing them that they are delivering a certain order. If the listener says they can receive the goods directly, they will immediately hang up to avoid being exposed.
This tactic targets people who are often busy and have little time to receive goods directly. The scammer will continue to call back, asking the victim to transfer a small amount in advance - usually from 100,000 to 300,000 VND - with the excuse of paying for the order.
Immediately after that, they send bank account information and continuously call to urge, creating a sense of urgency to distract the victim, making them unable to remember whether they actually ordered any item or not.

Company X – a social networking platform owned by billionaire Elon Musk – has just filed a lawsuit against eight Vietnamese citizens for allegedly exploiting a loophole in its revenue sharing program for content creators.
According to the lawsuit, this group of people is identified as living in Hanoi , including: Le Dinh Chung, Nguyen Nhu Duc, Do Viet Khanh, Nguyen Viet Kieu, Do Xuan Long, Do Minh Thang, Nguyen Ngoc Thanh and Phan Ngoc Tuan.
The defendants are accused of creating dozens of fake accounts, using software to distribute computer-generated content, and registering accounts using stolen identities.
The main purpose is to create a “fake popularity effect” through automated accounts interacting with each other, thereby bypassing platform X's moderation system and profiting from the revenue sharing program that is intended for real creators.

Soundcore has just launched a new wireless headphone model with a compact design, meeting IP55 water and dust resistance standards. The product is integrated with the Adaptive ANC 3.0 algorithm combined with an exclusive acoustic chamber, helping to double the noise cancellation ability compared to the previous generation.
Notably, the device is capable of scanning the environment 180 times per minute to automatically adjust the appropriate noise cancellation performance in real time.
The headphones use 9.2mm drivers made from wool and pressed paper, which reduces distortion and triples the clarity in the mid and high ranges compared to conventional wireless headphones.
In addition, the product also supports Dolby Audio technology, allowing users to customize 3 different listening modes, suitable for each type of content: music , movies and podcasts.
iOS revealed

Apple will likely not introduce iOS next year, but will launch an iOS version (Photo: Getty).
Apple still maintains its schedule of releasing new iOS in June every year, and the next version of iOS is expected to be introduced in the near future. However, according to Bloomberg, Apple is planning to change the naming scheme for this mobile platform.
Specifically, instead of being numbered sequentially like iOS 17, iOS 18..., future iOS versions will be named according to the year of release. This change is expected to start from 2026, which means that the operating system version released that year could be named iOS 26.
Notably, this isn’t an iOS-specific change. Apple will be applying the year-based naming convention across the entire operating system across devices like the iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
