The land to be reclaimed covers approximately 12.2 hectares, located in the two communes of Dien Quang and Dien Hong.

Dien Ban district requested the People's Committees of Dien Hong and Dien Quang communes to coordinate with the town's Land Development Center to implement the land acquisition plan; hold meetings to disseminate information to residents in the area where land is to be acquired, and announce it through mass media, post notices at the commune People's Committee headquarters, and common gathering places of the residential area where the land is to be acquired.

Land users are responsible for coordinating with the Dien Ban Town Land Development Center to determine the boundaries of the land parcel, conduct surveys and measurements, and provide relevant legal documents related to the land parcel being reclaimed.

Previously, on December 16, 2022, the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision approving the investment project for the construction of Van Ly Bridge and access roads. The total investment for the project is 575 billion VND; of which 420 billion VND comes from the central budget and 155 billion VND from the provincial budget.

The Van Ly Bridge is designed as a permanent structure, with a length of 459.5m and a width of 9m (8m for the carriageway and 0.5m for the guardrail on each side). The approach roads have a total length of 7.78km; including a branch connecting to the DT609B and DT609C routes (Dai Hoa and Dai An communes of Dai Loc district) with a length of 3.65km; and a branch connecting to the DT609 and DT605 routes (Cam Ly intersection, Dien Hong commune) with a length of 4.13km. The cross-section of the approach roads is 9m wide (8m for the surface and reinforced shoulders, and 0.5m for the earthen shoulders on each side); the road surface is made of asphalt concrete.

Regarding the access road, there are two branches. Branch 1 starts at the DT610B route (Dien Quang commune) via Van Ly bridge, then turns left west to the intersection of DT609B and DT609C. Branch 2 runs from the intersection at kilometer 1+040 of branch 1 to the intersection of DT609 and DT605. The project includes the installation of street lighting and traffic lights. The project is scheduled for implementation between 2023 and 2026.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Quang Nam Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation Works as the project's investor. The People's Committees of Dien Ban Town and Dai Loc District are the investors of the sub-projects for compensation and land clearance in the sections passing through their localities, implemented from the project's allocated funds (costing over 74 billion VND).

The Van Ly Bridge and its access roads were invested in to complete the planned transportation infrastructure system, connecting the two banks of the Thu Bon River, creating favorable conditions for the circulation of goods, and contributing to promoting socio -economic development in the western region of the province.

The bridge will replace the Ông Đốc ferry crossing to ensure traffic safety, especially during the rainy season when floods disrupt traffic in the Gò Nổi area, fulfilling a long-held wish of the local people. Construction is expected to begin in September of this year.
