The report presented at the conference emphasized that digital transformation is an inevitable global trend and a crucial and urgent solution, forming the basis for building and implementing socio-economic development programs and plans in Dien Bien province. As of June, the province had 1,200 businesses.

To date, the role of businesses in the local digital transformation process has become increasingly important in the economy; in particular, 100% of communes, wards, towns, residential areas, and villages have established Community Digital Transformation Teams with over 9,000 members who go door-to-door, checking every address to support people in accessing basic digital platforms.

At the conference, representatives from Misa Joint Stock Company, the Provincial Business Association, the Information and Communication Technology Center (Provincial Department of Information and Communication), and the Provincial Department of Information and Communication presented thematic reports such as: Digital platforms for digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises and cooperatives; digital transformation - an inevitable trend for provincial businesses in integration and development; deployment of the Smart Dien Bien App (video clip, instructions on installing and using the app); and announcement of the results of the 2022 Digital Transformation Index of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee and the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities in the province.

Representatives from agencies and units signed a memorandum of cooperation to promote digital transformation for businesses in Dien Bien province.

Through this, relevant agencies and units have committed to supporting businesses in Dien Bien province in accessing services and solutions, using digital platforms, and gradually implementing digital transformation to help businesses reduce costs, maximize work efficiency, adapt flexibly, increase transparency and effectiveness, enhance product value and competitiveness, and increase revenue and profits.
