Previously, Quang Nam Electricity Company sent an official dispatch to the Provincial People's Committee requesting direction to resolve the above-mentioned VAT debt problem.

The document stated that from December 2020 to present, Quang Nam Electricity Company has not received timely monthly payment of VAT debt for electricity for public lighting purposes from the Department of Industry and Trade and districts, towns and cities.

Meanwhile, this unit still has to pay full VAT to the state budget every month. The total amount owed for electricity VAT for public lighting purposes as of April 22 is more than 3.4 billion VND. This affects the financial situation of the enterprise, so Quang Nam Electricity Company has requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct the resolution of the above situation.

After reviewing the enterprise's proposal, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade, the Provincial Tax Department and relevant agencies, units and localities to study the content of the Ministry of Finance 's opinion in Official Dispatch No. 3477/BTC-TCT on value added tax and the proposed opinion of Quang Nam Electricity Company; review, inspect and advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve in accordance with regulations.

The Provincial Tax Department is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to study the content of the proposal of Quang Nam Electricity Company; review and inspect to resolve according to authority and regulations. In case of exceeding authority, report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and handling.
