On July 14, a working delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense led by Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Minister of National Defense, and General Eth Sarath, Deputy Commander-in-Chief and Chief of the Joint Staff (Royal Cambodian Army) conducted a field survey and inspected preparations at the locations where the program is expected to be held.

The delegation inspected the venue for the second Vietnam - Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange at: Moc Bai - Ba Vet international border gate area, Border sovereignty landmark 171, the area witnessing the joint patrol, planting friendship trees, the planned location for the joint military medical exercise (Ben Cau Commune Public Service Supply Center, Tay Ninh province).
The delegation inspected the friendship project of Sang Sovanna Primary School (Cambodia); the progress of the construction of boarding classrooms for border children at Ben Cau Primary School (Tay Ninh province) sponsored by the Ministry of National Defense; the location of the twinning ceremony of residential clusters on both sides of the border; the helicopter landing area at Division 5 and the location of the exchange program for young officers of the two armies.
Speaking at the inspection and survey points, Deputy Minister of National Defense Hoang Xuan Chien highly appreciated the urgent working spirit of the forces to carefully prepare the exchange program. The Deputy Minister affirmed: Border defense friendship exchange is not only an annual activity, but also a vivid symbol of solidarity and trust between the armed forces and people of the two countries. This is also a clear demonstration of the role of the army in defense diplomacy, building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative border for mutual development.
The Deputy Minister requested relevant agencies and units to continue to coordinate closely and promptly complete the remaining tasks on schedule, ensuring the solemn and thoughtful organization of the program. At the same time, he emphasized the need to strengthen effective coordination with Cambodian forces so that the second Vietnam - Cambodia border defense friendship exchange program in Tay Ninh will be successful, fully meeting the set goals and requirements.
