This is the opening activity for a series of propaganda activities before the Congress, demonstrating the careful preparation of the Hanoi Party Committee for information and communication work.
At the ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the City Party Committee, announced Decision No. 9499-QD/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee on the establishment of the Press Center to serve the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
The Center has 18 members, including 1 Director, 5 Deputy Directors and 12 members from the following agencies: Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee, Organization Committee of the City Party Committee, Office of the City People's Committee, Department of Culture and Sports, National Convention Center, Hanoi Post and Telecommunications, Center for Communications, Data and Digital Technology of the City.

In his opening speech, Mr. Dao Xuan Dung, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and Director of the Press Center, emphasized that communication work plays a particularly important role in bringing information and content of the 18th City Party Congress to cadres, party members, and people of the capital and the whole country.
The Press Center is equipped with modern facilities, demonstrating the concern of the City's leaders, creating favorable conditions for reporters of press agencies to work, update direct, complete and official information about the activities of the Congress.
The 18th Hanoi Party Congress, term 2025-2030, will take place at the National Convention Center with the preparatory session starting at 1:30 p.m. on October 15, the opening session at 7:30 a.m. on October 16 and the closing session at 3:00 p.m. on October 17. The Congress has the task of reviewing the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress (2020-2025); deciding on the goals, directions and tasks of building and developing the capital for the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2045; electing the 18th City Party Executive Committee and the Delegation to attend the 14th National Party Congress; and discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 14th Party Congress.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee has a particularly important political significance, guiding the entire Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of the Capital to promote the thousand-year tradition of civilization, solidarity, innovation, and pioneering with the whole country to enter an era of prosperous and powerful development; contributing to the successful implementation of the country's development goals until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
According to the plan, the Press Center will operate from October 14 to 17 at the National Convention Center. The Center is the focal point for organizing, operating and guiding press activities; providing official information, images and sounds to reporters related to the events of the Congress. The Organizing Committee will issue daily press releases after working sessions and hold a press conference to inform about the results of the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee on October 17.
To ensure smooth information work, the Organizing Committee requests reporters of press agencies to strictly comply with regulations on operations and security at the Press Center. With careful preparation of facilities and organization, the Press Center serving the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee is expected to make an important contribution to disseminating information, promoting the spirit of solidarity and determination of the entire Party Committee and people of the Capital, towards a successful Congress, creating new momentum for the development of the Capital in the period 2025-2030.
