Announcing 13 teams of the Capital to participate in the national excellent student selection exam for the 2025-2026 school year

On the morning of October 14, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a conference to announce the city's excellent student teams participating in the national excellent student selection exam for the 2025-2026 school year. This is an annual activity to select, nurture and prepare outstanding students of the capital to participate in the national intellectual playground.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that in the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi students continued to affirm their leading position in the country in national and international competitions for excellent students. Specifically, the Hanoi student delegation won 3 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and 9 Bronze Medals at the international competition. Notably, Nguyen Manh Tuan won the Gold Medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad, Luong Thai Duy won the Gold Medal at the International Biology Olympiad and Le Hoang Kieu Anh won the Bronze Medal at the Biology Olympiad.

Along with that, 200 Hanoi students won prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition, continuing to affirm the position and prestige of the capital's key education. Director of the Department Tran The Cuong praised and congratulated the team leaders, schools, parents and all students who contributed to making Hanoi's education famous. He emphasized that the students selected for this year's team are the most outstanding faces - the crystallization of intelligence, determination and aspiration to study continuously. To be on this list, they had to pass many rounds of competition and undergo serious training.

“You not only represent yourself and your school, but also represent the honor, responsibility and pride of the whole city of Hanoi,” Mr. Tran The Cuong affirmed.

It is known that in the 2025-2026 school year, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will select 13 teams of excellent students from the city to participate in the National Excellent Student Competition, including the following subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, French, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.

In total, Hanoi established 13 teams with 247 excellent students, selected from the city-level excellent student selection exam organized by the Department at the end of last September.

The students in the team come from 8 high schools and inter-level schools, including: Hanoi - Amsterdam High School, Son Tay High School, Nguyen Hue High School, Chu Van An High School, Hoang Long High School, Quang Trung - Ha Dong High School, Newton Middle School and High School, Luong The Vinh Middle School and High School.

According to the plan, the teams will be organized to receive concentrated training from October 16 to December 25 to consolidate their knowledge, skills and readiness for the national excellent student exam in the 2025-2026 school year. This is an opportunity for students in the capital to continue to affirm their abilities, promote the tradition of studiousness and the spirit of striving, contributing to maintaining the leading position of Hanoi education in the national excellent student exams.
