The exercise took place from April 17 to 23. In a combat format, members were divided into two teams: the Red Team and the Blue Team.
The attack team is tasked with actively and continuously exploiting security vulnerabilities of the target system 24 hours a day.
Meanwhile, the defense team must quickly detect and block these attacks. In particular, the target system chosen is a real system that is providing services.
Participating teams submitted more than 40 vulnerability reports to the organizers, many of which were highly valued, contributing to improving the defense capabilities of the units managing the target systems.
Vulnerability detection and remediation are performed in real-time, ensuring service security and preventing exploitation risks in a timely manner.
The National Cyber Security Incident Response and Remediation Alliance was established in December 2024. Regular live-fire exercises are one of the Alliance's key tasks, aiming to maintain readiness and enhance effective coordination among members when incidents occur.
At the Ceremony to summarize and draw lessons from the exercise, Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan Thuy - Director of the National Cyber Security Center, Head of the Exercise Organizing Committee emphasized: "The exercise demonstrated the high readiness of the team of engineers and experts in the Alliance. This is a quality resource, responsible and ready to contribute intelligence and experience to the common task".

If gathered and united, this force will become a powerful army, capable of responding to and protecting the security and safety of key national information systems against cyber attacks, under the coordination of the state management agency, the Department of Cyber Security and Prevention of High-Tech Crime - Ministry of Public Security .
The Organizing Committee said the primary goal of the Drill is to create opportunities for members to improve their knowledge and experience in handling information security and safety incidents, thereby effectively serving their professional work and contributing to the overall development of the country.
Specific objectives include: Raising awareness and capacity to ensure cybersecurity, especially in organizing and responding to incidents; enhancing the spirit of sharing and effective coordination in performing tasks; training the thinking of cyber attack experts to deploy cybersecurity defense more effectively.
The success of the first exercise will be a solid foundation for the Alliance to continue organizing similar activities in the future, with increasingly improved scale and quality.
In particular, the experience from this exercise once again confirms: "No system is absolutely safe", so it is extremely important to be prepared with response and troubleshooting plans.
